Rookie list spot, not a regular deal. Plus it's not like he's really gotten a crack - played one game, dropped, comes back a couple of weeks later, punctured lung in the second quarter, comes back, plays two games for Casey and does his navicular.

Smith is a medium/tall forward ... Pedo is a backup ruck/forward. I'm not guaranteeing Pedo and extension because of it, but to me the two deals aren't linked.

Meh could mean as little as we don't think there any many rookie options that are any good at the moment so we kept smith.
