Absolutely rapt with this signing....thoroughly deserved a call up after his year with our VFL. And I agree with Soapy V that he'll be on our list beyond 2025. Still only 20yo, so has a lot of scope for even more improvement.

I also recall there was some very astute poster who was talking him up all year, in fact this was their comment after just his third game for us. The bloke is a genius

Just got home from the game, what more can you ask on a beautiful autumn day to be at Princes Park and cheer the young blokes home for a hard fought win....

Also, loved the game of Walter White - he's been really impressive in the games I've seen this year. Reminds me a little of Seth Campbell for the Tiggs, who was linked to us in the draft a few years back. Apparently just turned 20yo - could be a bit of a smoky for the MSD.

Is this the Jagga replacement?

Are we not taking a mid?

Realistically, nobody available in the SSP is going to fill the Jagga void. If they were already that good, they'd be on a list elsewhere by now.

Club putting a lot of faith in guys like Lemmey, O'Keeffe and Young to step up when required, given we've trialed a few talls this offseason and overlooked them for two available list spots.

While I think the Evans pick was insurance for Fogarty's defensive forward role, I reckon White's selection is solely down to best available. He's barely put a foot wrong since joining the VFL outfit, and while he's got a lot of smalls "ahead" of him now, there's every chance he'll demand selection ahead of some of them on form within the first 10 or so rounds.

Good on him

He was my standout during pre season. He is energetic, has some dash and is smart with ball. Not much of him but won't hesitate

Seen as a small forward but IMO can play up the ground just as well if not behind the ball.

I wish him the best. Great kid who has done it the hard way

Congratulations to the bloke but let's be clear you only have to not get injured to be a stand out at the blues

Stoked for the young fella. Hope he tears it up this year in both the seniors and the VFL and makes the club offer him a full time spot. The only downside I can see is that this might be as jj1978 said, this could be cover for Durdin. We'll find out tomorrow what it is.

Liked his performances last year in a compromised VFL side due to injuries in the seniors. No brainer list move considering he's a known quantity to coaches and teammates alike. The kid will do the work and make every effort.

I have an inkling this may turn out well and he could turn out to be a cult hero (we need a couple).
