Brady Rowles

Player Profile

Brady Rowles brought searing pace and a willingness to run and carry when drafted to the Sydney Swans’ rookie list in November 2019. The young wingman stood out for Vic Country in the 2019 AFL Under-18 Championships and starred for the Bendigo Pioneers in the 2019 NAB League tournament. He also broke three seconds in the 20-metre sprint at the 2019 AFL Draft Combine and blitzed the agility test.

The Swans used pick four in the Rookie Draft to lock in Rowles, an attacking midfielder from the Bendigo Pioneers
...
Swans General Manager – Recruiting and List Strategy Kinnear Beatson said the drafting of Rowles and Maibaum added depth to the club’s list.
“Brady Rowles has only been in the NAB League system for one year but has already forced his way into the Vic Country team and played two of their four games in the AFL Under-18 Championships,” Beatson said.
“What we really like about him is his ability to run and carry the footy, and he’s got genuine pace. But it’s also his willingness and intent to get across and add a number to the contest, which (coach) John Longmire was impressed with when watching his highlights.

Junior club: Mildura? huh. wonder if he knew Dylan before he left.
If so co-incidence or not. Its cool the club is pairing up interstate new commers.

played footy against dyl in under 14s or so before Stephens went to school in Adelaide. Mildura and red cliffs have a strong rivalry.

Rowles is a great kid. Stoked for him

Seems to be fast, tallish, good disposal, and doesn't get many touches per game; I'm glad to see that we picked him up with pick 4 in the rookie draft instead of pick 6 in the main draft this time. Progress!

Best of luck Brady.
