This is the one week where I would have liked Finbar to have played forward, kept deep and have him flying at everything like he was doing earlier in the year.

He's a rookie list player who took up footy late. Maybe it's just me, but I reckon that's what the RD is for.

The issue is, he's playing AFL before he's ready. Not his fault the cupboard is bare and wasn't stocked earlier.

19 goals in 11 games at VFL level 2025 isn't to be sneezed at. Or has played 42 VFL games for 43 goals. You do the math and as Stevie Wonder once famously said, I like what I'm seeing.

Not the worst backup and he's young enough to benefit from another afl preseason, but I can also see him getting cut.

There was word of a contract mid-year, not sure what happened to it.

21.12 from 12 games is not bad.

Trembath definitely looks a more natural footballer. If it was one or the other you'd go for him, not sure it is though at this point given we have a bunch of others to delist.

Yes well the delistings will be interesting at seasons end, normally it takes me 5 minutes to produce my list lol. Not that its ever correct.

1. Ford- has gone.
2. Phillips- is gone
3. Fisher- we will try and offload
4.K Dawson (r) - gone
5. Teakles (r) - gone or should be
6. Tucker- should be gone.
7. Stevens- dunno but yeah

So that's about the lot for me, we're imo are to nice to delist a long term injured player ( Bergman)

So our fwd options for 2026 as follows; Darling , CCJ ( cripes) Larkey, Trembath, then how we playing Corrs, W Dawson, Whitlock, Comben, Pinks and Logues down back. One of those surely swings into the fwd group for preseason training.
My preference is now for Whitlock to do so.

And yes i'm not a huge fan of Logues, Corrs, Pinks or CCJs, there's many reasons we're 17th again, and that's probably at least 3 of them.

If we can find 7 to go I'd like to think the Sprooce Goose survives for another year, he has improved, so that's normally taken into consideration.

Is he going to make it as a key forward with his lack of agility? It's highly unlikely. His ceiling would be Levi Casboult, and for that he needs to become a relief ruck too. We could give him another year if we get to keep the extra rookie spots, but otherwise I'd rather keep others.

Yeah not sure how many we will take and the thing will be who we bring in as a ready to go type. I believe we have eyes on Spargo and the youngster from the Hawfs. HH

6 goals from 2 games from Trembath has made it less likely for Finnbar. And as it should.
