High praise from the club here.....

Playing for Frankston in the VFL in 2025, the hard-working half-hack claimed the prestigious Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal for most promising young talent.

WOW! What an amazing rise up the ranks. Well done Tom, and all the best in your debut.

There is that many 21-25 year old blokes who should be drafted but as late developers, either physically or mentally, they just don’t get the opportunity because clubs look for the next big thing in the junior ranks.

Spot on. Far too much stock put in athletics testing and then riding out bad picks under sunk cost fallacy.

Every year there are state league players clearly superior to a good chunk of listed AFL players.

There’s way too much focus on ‘upside’ and not enough on ‘shown ability’.

Honestly think most of this is just the ridiculous list size restrictions.

Mate I go down and watch the local lads from time to time. Some of them wouldn’t look out of place in the afl.
There is so much untapped talent out there it’s ridiculous

Can we keep tapping? Blamires and Trembath look very promising.
