Frustrating as it is, at least we're bottoming out now instead of right before or during a WC. Plenty of time to cut the dead weight (White, Head) and get our priorities straight (Carey in for Paine, learning how to bowl economically at the death).

India getting smacked in SA does it for me. Since 2010 they have one win from 17 Tests against Australia, SA, NZ and England. Always does it for us.

Poms seem to vary their bowling a lot more than us - wide yorkers, slower short balls outside off and they have a decent spinner in Rashid

As good as Smith was during the ashes he's been an absolute liability during these odi's. Unimaginative captaincy, poor body language and scoring at a poor strike rate. His vice captain has probably been the worst of the lot....another poor 50 over series in South Africa and they may look at someone else to open with Finch

Funily enough a couple of blokes from the test side considered not as capable in the short form would strengthen improve this side at the moment. Khawaja and Lyon.

I don't see how you can blame Paine..The England team's batting is very strong now. If the Aussie batsmen in the middle overs let the run-rate build, they are screwed, Aussies are not winning a match unless the English team gets cleaned up in about 40 overs.
Much like the Telstra Dome, ANZ Stadium and every other major stadium around the country
