Yeah I am - I may be jumping the gun here but would love to see Australia take this phenomenal start (the best of our odi summer by far) and continue on/ take it to the next level - nothing against clarke specifically for doing it as I'm sure punter would have done the same but say maxwell comes in now and actually has some time and no pressure he might be able to lift the run rate to 7+ rpo where clarke will most likely score at around a run a ball and increase pressure on Hughes to be the 'slogger' which will eventually get him out
If there were <10 overs left I'd agree with you, but I think there is too long left to go completely attacking now.

Would love to see Clarke go super big in the last 10 overs, it's something we haven't seen a heap of from him despite his amazing form. I kinda see where the other bloke is coming from though, with 8 wickets in hand. Maxwell will either make a quick 40-50 or be out in his first few balls so I can understand the argument.

Happy for pup to prove me wrong but Imho he'll get a nice 30 from 30 then get out -- wont lift or drop the run rate.... My thought was at this point that can happen near the end of the inning if a maxwell/johnson cameo doesn't work out so why not try to get it above 350 than aiming for 300 (either way it wont affect the outcome of the match I doubt but would be nice for the team to take a killer instinct)

Well Bailey said he wants to be like Hussey so he needs to show his finishing ability.
Think he showed that ability last match :thumbsu: I like Clarke and Bailey they just aren't the guys who can usually come out and destroy a bowler in 8 overs (which is why they're both probably more suited to 50 over or test cricket than 20/20)... Bailey hopefully prove me wrong today
