3rd quarter essendon cheer squad

right before 3/4 time there seemed to be a lot of sercurity and ground staff crowding around. from what I could see/guess it seemed like someone got punched(?) and was knocked out.

did anyone see what happened?

not trying to be a gloating smart arse, just concerned about what happened

Same thing happened at the end of the last quarter in the North cheer squad.

Noticed it too. All I saw was some bloke in the crowd waving back up the aisle, as if he was asking security to come down, a big crowd, a security guard get put down and get back up, ambo's coming over, someone/something being carried out and security/cops hanging around for a large part of the last quarter. Couldn't see any specifics though. Anyone know what happened?

I believe there was an accident & somebody got knocked over & slightly hurt (mostly just shaken). There was a little bit of verbal but nothing physical. The cops called for 1st aid but not required, they calmed the situation & there was no evictions.

There was also some very ugly scenes with the North Melbourne cheer squad just before quarter time.
Police and Security guards took quite some time to defuse the situation and I don't think any evictions came from it.

From what I could gather from my vantage point was that somebody dropped a 20 cent coin and that 4 members from the North Melbourne cheer squad were all claiming it was theirs. The Police handled it very professionally although no one from the four were backing down as to who's 20 cents it really was, I think in the end they split it up and all got 5 cents.
