Any reports or leaks on what the waca will be playing like tomorrow?

If it turns out to be road like thr previous two, then there def. has been a directive from either CA or the side them selves to flatten the tracks this season against SA

They interviewed the curator on SEN this morning. Said been a bit of rain last few days, and not been able to get onto it much yesterday and today was looking a little the same. Said if they cant get much work into it and it stays under the covers it may be fairly green tomorrow and have some juice from the covers being on so much.

I would suggest we would be a large chance to play 4 quicks I think

Green hopefully. No more roads pls.

Been a very bowler friendly track this Shield season to date, highest score in 3 matches so far is 400. Definitely a result track.
4 quicks pretty much a fore gone conclusion, plus Watto.

Wouldn't be using a Shield track for the Test, I wouldn't have thought. Makes it a little hard to go off the results so far here this season.

Exactly mate, drop our 2 best bowlers, real good decision that one. i guess we know where Mickey Arthur's heart lies

Still cant believe that spud Johnson is in the team

Drop? Obviously they aren't fit to back up.

Siddle said he was fit, didn't he?

Johnson had better come up with one of his intermittent blinding spells. If he doesn't, there will be hell to pay (for the selectors).

Just because siddle said that, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is true. Send like the kind if guy who wouldn't admit to soreness if it meant missing out on playing for his country.

???

Hilfenhaus has been garbage. Back to his awful 2010-11 form.

Siddle out is a blow but hell, we can't expect an fast-medium bowler to send down 22 overs on a warm Adelaide day.

Johnson is a boom/bust scenario but we need to take a calculated gamble given the injuries to best young quicks, Johnson's record at the WACA and the stakes riding on this upcoming test.

What worries me more are the vanilla with vanilla topping Hazelwood and Hastings in the 12. 1 of them might be okay (especially if Watson bowls) but playing both is asking for trouble. If we don't pick Lyon we are gonna have serious issues with our over rate as well.

I wouldn't say Hilfenhaus has been that bad, but he's definitely not been at his best.

We did manage to overcome the potential issue with over rates last year, but then India didn't really test us. It would be interesting to see what the selectors do.

Exactly.

It'd be like a footy player playing a whole season with, say, groin pain.

I don't mind the Hastings selection; will get bounce off the deck, is in good form, and will be an asset bowling into the breeze.

Siddle and Hilfy out because they need a rest.............WTF????????????

What the hell has happened to everyone these days, why is everyone so soft in Australia?
Need a rest Pleeaasseee!!!!!!!! Cricket is played in hot weather, it is a summer game. Siddle bowled what 20 odd overs in a day, whoopy do.

Not blaming Siddle and Hilfy, these sports science people are destroying the game.

What crap, need a rest.
