Corr (Higgins) better deliver because we're paying him more than we were ultimately gonna pay Brown (Greenwood).

I'd have preferred Brown stayed. I've posted about it ad nauseam, but he's not and it's about trade value now.

It is not connected to Brown in any way shape or form.

No greater connection than Ben Jacobs retiring is connected to Corr.

I don't think anyone is wishing ill of Corr. I hope he shreds it - I have a very distant personal connection to him so I want him to absolutely dominate.

But, perhaps a point for another thread, the purported offer to Corr in comparison to what we offered Brown post-covid adds weight to the theory that Brown was pushed out and it was made clear that we didn't really want him anymore.

All of a sudden the whole 'Rama this, greedy Ben that' type of statement perhaps seems a bit less closer to the truth now.

I would personally take it to the Brown thread and not sour Corr's arrival, but I can see how by comparison Brown may be feeling like he was pushed out by the offers we put to him after the covid freeze.

the only difference to Greenwood is we never initially offered him a good deal, we lowballed him from the start.

with Brown we offered decent coin then lowballed him.

the parallel though has more to do with the player coming in.

getting rid of Greenwood wasn't why we got Higgo. Getting rid of Brown isn't why we are getting Corr.
