I'm not using dummy accounts to talk shit.
I happen to know that Dusty will leave as a restricted free agent. He will sign a long term deal making him the highest paid player in the league with North Melbourne. I am sorry that this news brings you so much pain, and angst. My sources? Well they shall remain nameless, but rest assured that if I did share them you would be left in no doubt as to the outcome. Sterge im sorry I responded and made this post, I'm out. I guess we will all chat again once the "it's happening" thing becomes an "it happened" thing.
Who's your source? I don't expect you to publicly say it, but why not PM an impartial mod with your source information, so it can be verified.

I could come on here and literally say the exact same type of thing, but the other way, and say my source "shall remain nameless".

Credibility comes from having points in the bank from previous instances, what is your proof of your credibility? How many things have you successfully been given mail about?

I already know the answers to these questions, but I'm curious how you spin it and try to answer without answering. Please feel free to PM me as you'll probably be banned if you post in this actual thread for much longer.

I am also happy to wager hard cash on it. Where else does the accountability come from, if not hard cash? I'm not even claiming to have inside information either, I'm just certain that you're full of shit and have absolutely NFI, and I'm willing to take somewhat of a chance that Dusty will stay, if it's at good... er I mean obviously bad odds! :D

Seeing as you're so confident, I get 4 to 1 odds that Dusty is staying. The bet is based on $500 dollars, so if I win, you pay me $2000 ($500 x 4), and if you win, I pay you $500 ($500 x 1), because your outcome is basically assured and you're the heavy favorite, PLUS you have your inside info too.

Sound fair? I mean it's easy money for you if Dusty is a lock to North, right? You shouldn't have any issue with those odds at all. :$

I await your response (even though I already know it will be "no thanks"). :thumbsu:

Sent from my iPad using righteous man power
J Packer pulled the right rein there....goodness me.

Actually met Kate in a boat on the Yarra going to the Aust Open. Many years ago of course but even then she had the Stevie Js about her...looks the same but you just know the good times are gone.

Richmond lowballed him by reducing the value of the contract on offer when that happened. Then they lowballed him again at the start of the year offer $800k for a top five player in the league. No wonder he wants out when the club gives him that kind of disrespect and he has to go through so much drama just to get the wage he deserves.
Lowballed? He had 1 club to choose from and we gave him a second chance. If we didn't he might be playing for the Auckland Allstars. As for the start of this year, 800k (if that's correct) was probably right. His price has increased commensurate with his form. As for the drama, the media and supporters are the only ones carrying on. Carr always said the decision would be made at the end of the H&A.

As if you'd hang onto that for 6 weeks
This. You'd think if he'd met with the leadership group it would have been all over the news 6 weeks ago.

Shit like that does not stay quiet. I mean look at Lever and his visit to MFC. It was all over the news the next morning!

Dusty's a much bigger name than Jake Lever.

All these posters on the norf board be like: "we don't care if we don't get Dusty ... the Dusty to norf thread has been a great ride". 281 pages. 281 pages!? Hour after hour. Day after day. It's pitiful. It is like a car accident in slow motion. I can't look away. The thread is always at the top of their front page. It's like the only thing they've enjoyed for the year is fantasising about poaching another teams player. I mean it would be pretty pathetic even if they were %110 guaranteed to get the player ... but I don't think there is a word to describe how pathetic it is that 99.9% of the stuff posted in there seems to be completely baseless speculation. It's embarrassing. It is embarrassing to witness a group of people so devoid of pride.

Honestly I'm over this shit
Will he stay will he go.. Same as last f@#kin time.. Or was it the time before... It's a shit fight circus everytime... If he stays give him the 7 years or 8 because I don't want to have another 6 months of this shit down the track

Just sign or piss off

Oh and I will just add this too
Any player who gets or has that shit gibbon Ralph Carr as a player agent... Desist them or trade them immediately
It should be the number one question at interviews at draft camp... Is this dickhead your manager.... Oh he is.... Don't let the door hit you in the arse on your way out

He did have look on his face that suggested he was just clutching but honestly who cares.
If Norf have offered up $1.5 per season they would have to be the most unprofessional mob in the history of the world to not have met with him. Clubs meet players all the time, and if you're trying to convince somebody to come to your club you meet them.
I'd be staggered if they hadn't.

I just hope Dusty knows that an extra 1.5 to 2 million over 7 years is not much when you are already earning 8 to 8.5 million in that period.

The kind of things you can do with 8.5 million vs 10 million, in 7 years, are basically the same. The overall growth difference in that is not much at all, perhaps you can buy a few extra "nice things" but that would be about it, you can set yourself up amazingly with the 8.5.

Knowing that, I hope he'd prefer to stay with his mates at Richmond and (with all due respect to North) likely have a better chance of success in perhaps at least the next 2-4 years, but also then be a one-club player and likely 300-game champion, likely Brownlow medallist, and then reap all the post-footy benefits as a result of all that, not to mention this other stuff we are trying to get in place for him.

Also, Dimma is a really top bloke. I'm not sure I rate Brad Scott as a bloke at all. Plus he'd be walking into a rebuild at North, a proper one.

C'mon Dusty, you're our favourite player mate just for doing what you already do, stick with the Tigers :)

They would if it was then met with a "no thanks"
Which then provoked an offer of 1.5m

You could be right.

There's still just not enough talk about him leaving though.

Yeah Dusty's incredibly introverted but I just think if he were leaving there'd be more talk about it.

Everyone knew Danger and Buddy were gone months before their respective last seasons were over.

There was the go home factor for Danger and the out of the media spotlight and partner in Sydney factor for Buddy.

The only thing North have to offer that Richmond doesn't is ridiculous money and I'm not sure Dusty is the mercenary type, hell would he even be prepared to put up with the media scrutiny he'd get for leaving. If he thinks this is bad it'll be worse next year.

Hey guys I'm having a bit of trouble finding articles about Dusty's meeting with North. Can only seem to find these two. Please could someone please point me in the right direction? Cheers
