Hope players stay focused coz once he comes back from nz and doesent announce he's staying everyone will know then 100% he's gone , it could very well put spanner in our finals hopes .
This.
At some point the holding off on a decision will cause fractures within the playing group.
Should a decision not be made by the end of the break then we will pretty much know what he is doing. Now try play a final with a guy you can almost certainly pen down is going to an opposition club at the end of our finals campaign. I don't think it would bring much unity.
And then joining North. It's big money, this is the ONLY reason. How will North players, and supporters, feel about having Dusty playing for them, when he has no emotionally attachment with their club, expect for the contract they splashed out for him? On top of that, when North actually become competitive again, lets say within 2-5 years, Dusty is 28/29 at his youngest....... the jigsaw pieces don't match. Only the money.
We will fine regardless, short term hurt but we have positives to take from this should he leave. Money, picks, good player development.
My worry however is the impact this could possibly have on our finals hopes.....
