Norf may pose no on field threat but the off-field gloating and chest-beating from their collective swill of supporters would drive me into my Armageddon bunker for 100 years.
Sure, that will probably happen. Until 2 things happen next year:

1) We flog em twice.
2) They come under pressure to retain Ben Brown.

i put alot more weight into what kiwi says

i wasnt all that worried tbh, now i am
With all due respect to all BF insiders. When 90% of the AFL media have done a 180 and are now saying Nth have tabled a massive offer and that it's looking 50/50 then that should be enough to worry.
The whole him meeting with the leadership group, no smoke no fire.
This though, plenty of smoke, must be something to it.

FFS this thread is beyond ridiculous now. The narrative changes three or four times a day.

Everyone just chill, enjoy dusty for the next 2-6 games of the year and appreciate the specticle/dusty show.

If he leaves we boo and bag the living shit out of him or he stays and we forget this ever happened....for the second time.

Heh heh heh....Jon Ralph can’t be a Richmond supporter because if he was, he wouldn’t be writing a meltdown article every 5 minutes on the Martin situation in the Herald Sun and unnecessarily giving public and negative fuel to the situation.

He’s now written three articles in the last 24 hours all of which have been “pay Dusty whatever he wants” and “North’s offer is inspired” type melts.

Poor old Ralphy. What a battler.
Actually those articles are probably proof that he is a passionate Richmond supporter. Only a Richmond supporter would melt as much as he has over the dusty situation over the last few days...this thread is proof of that.

dusty wanting to wait until the end of the season doesn't necessarily mean he's gone. he's under different circumstances then most of players, in relation to his father. he is about to sign the most important contract in his life worth millions, of course he would want to speak to who appears to be the most influential person to him, face to face. just like any other person does. however, for him to speak to his dad face to face he has to wait until the end of the season. that's probably why he has said from the very beginning that he was waiting until the end as he knew that would be his next opportunity to go to NZ

Think you are right regarding investments, he would most likely have some sort of trust set up minimising his tax bill.

However, and I stand corrected, but as I understood it players are considered employees of each club and this was specified in previous CBA's so normal PAYG deductions would be made in regards to the amount he receives under his playing contract so the $1.2-$1.5m would be taxed at the highest tax bracket.
Plenty of ways to minimise tax. Negative gearing for one.
