Just one last thing.
You mentioned you knew this info way back in April.
And the club knew he was staying.
Why didn't he sign then when Richmond had that trot of close losses to solidify the playing group?

Otherwise the whole thing was a PR stunt?
How does Richmond benefit from this?
Back to your own board you plum. You're wasting my valuable thumb energy when I have to scroll past your posts.

Like i said a month ago, he will sign before finals ( even though all the media were pushing the end of season barrow). From those I trust, told me the time line but not the reason in full. Putting the strings together I believe we have assisted carr in building his player stable as the free press he has got from this has been priceless, got to understand Bolton joined Carr this year as well.

Dusty is loyal, loves the club but also Carr so in my opinion only, was more then happy to allow Carr to benefit and the club was OK with it as we know 100% Dusty wont go anywhere. Hence the before finals re signing will further boost the club at the perfect time leading into finals as a way to create a win/win. I was told most of this in April, and everything I have heard has been proven right.

I have zero doubt Dusty will be signing as a tiger for the next 6 years on a fair price, just with a discount compared to what he would deserve elsewhere.
Can't we sign him, keep it within the clubs "4 walls" and only tell the players? That way we can get a few weeks head start on the rest of the competition and maybe convince someone else to join up. :smirk: Leaving a club like Norf with a war chest and 5 fans :sunglasses:

I actually had a dream two nights ago. In the dream I was hanging with the players and Dusty walks in. He was quizzed on what was going on with his contract and he said he was just offered 1.2 mil but he knocked it back. All went silent and he said "Well they offered me 1.2 and I said no! ................Pay me 900k and put the spare money towards luring other good players to the club. I love you guys and I love this club. Let's win a flag together". It was inspirational. I woke up teary eyed. It was like the Al Pacino game of inches speech!

Dusty has the right idea.
He's waiting until the bye before the finals to make his decision.
He will resign with us during that week giving us a massive confidence boost for finals and make every other team shit bricks knowing that Dusty is a free man and will play 120% for the Tiges.
We will then go on to win the flag and Dusty will take home the Brownlow and the Norm Smith.
I can't envisage any other scenario with an announcement likely before finals.
He knows we're playing finals.
It's absolutely bat shit crazy to announce before finals "hey, I'm leaving".
You leave that decision and announcement until the season is done and dusted and everyone is in half-cricket mode.

and this has supposedly come from the horses mouth (Ralph) itself.
Not a mate, not a "I know a guy who knows a guy" etc
I take it as good news.

Just curious, like most people.

Swans board member posted today that it's a done deal that he is leaving for Sydney & has been a done deal since April.
Well its your bad that you believe that.

The signing of zak Jones and imminent signing of Sam Reid should tell you enough. You haven't got the cap space.

Has Ralph Carr realised he could make billions off Dusty so cloned him and is sending a clone to each of Sydney, North and Richmond? Absolutely genius! :D

True, he's largely unflappable.

He was asked a direct question about Dusty signing, and while his answer wasn't and couldn't be unequivocal, his body language and an aside was perfection for me. I'm not worried about all the while noise.
Yes I was there ad well answered it well but the body language said plenty

I never said I believed it.
I want him to stay at Richmond. The story is that he wants out of Melbourne.
The only way he will end up at Sydney is if we give up Parker or Hannebery.
