Disagree!!

Dusty is there to use his brand to promote the Sherin football

His brand is created due to his football ability

His football ability is tied to where he plays and his contract

When you put yourself up you need to be available for all questions, You cant just pick the good and ignore what doesn't suit you
I don't know necessarily if it's really Dusty's brand or Dusty's 'star' influence to help his mate Chocco with HIS brand in this case,

i agree that dusty has his own brand et al but he was there FOR chocco, not for himself in any kind of offical capacity - note the lack of club colours

After listening to the Balme interview on SEN I'm comfortable with where this is at.
We've put an offer to Dusty which is long term and competitive. Dusty loves the club but wants to take his time in making a decision.
Balme seemed to have no issues with Ralph Carr so all seems above board. I'm still hoping we get an announcement prior to round 1.

I reckon we can't lose with this whole situation. If Dusty is looking for a new home in 2018 he'll want to perform this year to raise his price, Dusty turning it on this season is good for Tiges, if he stays we keep a superstar, if he leaves we'll match any offers and trade, either way we will do well out of it, hope he stays but it won't be the end of the world if he seeks a trade.

Hello my wonderful Tiger brothers and sisters!
I'm genuinely curious as to why/how Dusty Martin is so incredibly strong. As far as I'm aware he is 6ft 2 and 87 kg. So he's not a man mountain. But he pushes away, shrugs and throws athletic grown men away with ease. How does he do it? Do you think it is related to his muscle density per kg of body weight? Or is it due to greater fast twitch muscle fibres in his upper body? Can anyone please help me out?

it's all to do with the core and hip strength, Dangerfield and Pendlebury are another 2 that i can think off the top of my head that are similar but not as strong as Dusty.

The core abdomen muscles help keep him upright and resist the tackle. if he keeps his core tight the moment of impact the other person will be offbalanced and not as set in their strength allowing him to shake them off before they recover

Maybe genetics. If you've seen the all blacks play you can see their Maori and islander players are unbelievable athletes. Great strength and power - I wonder if he played a bit of league when he was younger - the don't argue/fend off looks like a rugby move to me and he's always done it

Thank you for your thoughts. I have no idea how he is so strong but I do know that every time I see a player try to 'square up' to him I just laugh as I know they are out of their depth vs Dusty.
Lots of love, Belle.

Core strength is amazing.

At the Arizona Camp of 2011, Dustin did an exercise where he got on his knees, with a trainer holding his ankles, and lowered his upper body down toward the ground and raised it back up. Very impressive.

Because he is in fact a cybernetic robot sent back in time to take the Tigers to the promised land.

Can anyone on here out their big nuts on the line and say dusty is staying or going? None of this rubbish talk anymore. It's simple someone either knows or has no idea
The club are happy for him to take his time so they must be pretty confident. All this if dh is sacked dusty and rioly will be gone is all talk. Money talks this days. They will be here as one club player's.

I knew it!
Lots of love, Belle.
How do ants carry weight 7 times the size of it's self? Strength can be deceptive as it isn't as perceived. Could come from the brain from eyes from foods.
Try this little trick with a friend. Slapping in the face, one will try to slap and the other will try to stop it. A bet you every time the defender will be watching the attacker's hand's and get slapped no matter cause of reaction. Now do the same again but the defender this time concentrates on the attacker's eyes at all times and see what happen'.s
Now to Dusty appearing to be so strong the explanation is timing so therefore he uses the brain. If you watched all his games he does tend to be tackled correctly just as much as he fends off. Which again points to timing.
I hope that explains it belle have a nice day.

Thank you very much for your explanation. I'd still love to hold on to my belief that Dusty is super strong. Maybe he is super strong and has great timing re: fend off and shrugs. Anyway, he's a superhero in my books ;)
Lots of love, Belle.

If I were close to Dustin, I'd advise one thing.
The next time someone in the media asks him about his contract, all he has to say is something like this: "Let's get this out of the way now. Every time I am asked this question, I will, from now on, only have two words to say: 'No comment'. If you want to waste the whole 10 minutes of interview time asking the same question, then go for it. The answer will always be the same."

Then I would advise him that if a non-contract question is asked, to give the answer some length and some detailed explanation. If the contract question is asked again: "No comment".
They will soon get the idea.
