Just on the way the commentators blew their load over Dusty, does anyone think they would've still carried on like they did if he wasn't in the last year of his contract or had signed a new one. ?
Honestly, yes. He had an absolute rippa.

The other stuff is them just being bad commentators and trying to add drama by commenting on the easiest thing for them. The first thing that comes to mind and the easiest thing that comes to mind when talking about him from an outside perspective is his contract, so that's what they're going to talk about. I mean lets be honest, a lot of footballers aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. If they become media personalities it's because of their personality, image and capacity to entertain. Case in point, Jonathan Brown. Thick as a brick shithouse but you'd love to be out on the piss with him.

tl;dr: Dusty good, commentary lazy, get used to both ;)

Not sure what you have seen in Lennon, Did you see the 3 goals he kicked against NB ? Very much other players work and he is just waiting at the back with his opposition player not paying him any respect as the entire football world know he is a spud
He has kicked ten goals in two games. You can't just keep saying he doesn't earn his goals because you don't like him. Does Jenkins earn his goals?

Jay Clark just said on Triple M that we have revised our offer to Martin to $850 a year over five years.
Still thinks the Dusty camp will hold out as others like Norf and St Kilda will offer godfather contracts which will improve their bargaining position with Richmond.

I was at the North Melbourne-West Coast game today. Even Dusty would struggle in that midfield.

Put it this way, if Dusty god forbid went there it would be for the cash and not for success, they are going nowhere near finals for at least 5 years.
5 years at the current rate, 3 years if north play mainly rookies and move on waite + thompson and possibly trade goldstien for draft picks + a gun.i'll be suprised if Brad Scott lasts untill the end of his contract.

I don't think it was clear we have revised it, he was sharing details of our OPENING offer , it won't be our last , that's an important point

In regards to the Tigers being able to match any other offers from rival clubs, I hope that is true.

The recent history of this club doesn't fill me with much optimism on that point. We probably over pay players like T. Hunt. You would think the First picked each week would be on a big wage.

Lennon $400k

Thats $1.5 mil wiped off the cap with no issue,Just about all these players can be replaced with $100 mature age rookies for what they will deliver this year
Except Hammer was re-signed for 2 years last year. He is contracted for 2018
