The club should just announce it anyway and on how Dustys feels about a few Journo's he'd have his blessing just to take the piss.lolId love for our club to announce that Dusty has extended his contract by 2 years giving him a total of another 4 years at the club on decent coin. He would be 35 at the end of that 4 years.
Even Buy SA itself.Considering what GWS would pay him, he could easily keep his South Australian property and add a NSW one to go with it.
Maybe you re read my postRaines left a year after playing in grand final he was not playing in a shitty team
I think Dusty is a worth a significant amount more to Richmond than any other Club. Sure some other Clubs would relish getting Dusty, but at nearly 31 you need to look at what Hawthorn did with the equally aging Mitchell (34), Hodge (33) et al....... Think Hodge is a really good example - Dusty is about 2 years behind his scenario and still arguably a 2-3 year proposition subject to how he feels about his recent serious kidney injury. He's tough but he's also human!
Damian Barrett is one slimy piece of s**t….. Bevo should've punched his lights outdamo having a midweek rub over the speculation
The same year 1982 as a matter of fact , trashed his reputation in an instantRaines left a year after playing in grand final he was not playing in a shitty team
Yep. I'll go one step further and say that neither GWS or Sydney have any chance of winning a flag in the next 3 years unless they got Dusty. Maybe Gawn might get each a flag, but they ain't getting him.The thing is that Dusty could be the difference between winning and losing a grand final for a team in their window. He plays for Geelong in 2020 and the Cats have another flag. If Sydney wants to back themselves for a serious tilt in the next couple of years Dusty could be the difference. He's a proven finals player. He might be almost 31, but he kicked a lazy 3 goals with 20 touches while still shaking off the rust in a H&A game last week.

The media have been adding a year for a little now… they are hoping he leaves the tigersIt would have been a better article if he got Dusty's age right. He's about to turn 31, not 32.
Who cares, the media will always talk but at the end of the day they don’t make or influence any of the decisionsThe media have been adding a year for a little now… they are hoping he leaves the tigers
Who cares, the media will always talk but at the end of the day they don’t make or influence any of the decisions
If he moves only one person makes that decision and that’s Dusty himself
The fact people work themselves up over the articles, reading them, sharing them and talking about them just feeds into the machine and encourages them to write more
Don’t even think Dimma poured gasoline on anything, what he said was reasonable given the context of everything he said, even if he had said nothing the media would be writing the same story’s and speculatingNot really.
What it is doing is not giving Dustin the privacy & safe environment he clearly needs at the moment. The articles & speculation would have to be adding stress to his life. Do not forget the reason he is even possibly day-dreaming of this move is to "Escape" the limelight of Melbourne, ie this exact type of exposure.
It was beyond idiotic of Dimma to pour gasoline on this subject - very bizarre

If he moves to Sydney they will still write about him, just as much or if not more as if he stays at Richmond because of the weight of expectation of being at a new club and they would want results for the money and trade capital they would be paying
Dusty would be very much aware of this along with the people who would be advising him
Unfortunately it just comes with the territory of being the highest profile player in the competition
You are kidding right re Lynch?I don't really agree. I think this has certainly added more words to print. It has to have - if he had said nothing, there is no article to write. Sure, they can write the "opinion piece" - but chances are they are going to write that one too, as well as the "Dimma's Comments" one.
Based on the months of the club repeating "leave him alone, we are respecting his privacy", the decision to make these new comments totally goes against that. We easily could have continued with that narrative and it makes it very hard to write a new article about the topic. When Lynch left, there was speculation all year round - but there was not articles reporting about it - as there was nothing to report.
goods luck on talking sense to a lot of the rabble in hereThis rumours was made up by the media because Dusty trained in Sydney. Nothing from Dusty, carr or the club. Those potting Hardwick and jack, what did you expect them to say?
They are responding to a hypothetical ffs also keeping Dusty recent grief issues in mind. Again I'll repeat, they are responding to a made up hypothetical question, there is no pouring petrol on a flame that does not exists outside the gullible mind.
Also some need to check an actual fact based article with Peggy saying Dusty told her he will stay in the yellow and black.

Dimma response to that question was predictable in the manner he talks to media in his pressers ,,,I’ve oft thought he says too much however he’s ALWAYS been like that , he’s effusive and wears his heart on his sleeve.
