24 disposals.
511 metres gained.
6 inside 50s
7 ground ball gets.
5 marks.
3 goal assists.
9 score involvements.

This kid is a jet. Not too late to get on board the Baby Bont Train doubters...

I think everyone's on the train - it's so obvious he's going to be a real jet.

Apart from one or two contrarians, that is.

I can't begin to fathom how his odds for the Rising Star have dropped after today's game. Such a smooth mover, game awareness, positioning, contest, accurate disposal, meters gained etc - let alone his game stats from today's outing.

Mind you, it is a competition of so many variables and complete ****wittery when it comes to adjudication.

Equal 5th in the market on Sportsbet lol

Absolutely ridiculous. I can understand Levi($3) being ahead of him in the betting, but Curtin($3.75), Roberts($6) and Murphy Reid($7) well ahead of him in the market. Caddy on the same line of betting($15). Crazy with what the kid has shown this year.

I think some of the questions around his speed and contest work are fair to an extent (though expressed hyperbolically by some) but his disposal and quick decision making is awesome + he's an aerial presence. Big lad & if he can put on a bit more beef I think he can be elite.

I haven't seen the speed thing as an issue, he's not quick but he's nimble for his size, good in traffic and doesn't get caught.

Ability to find the ball all over the ground, link up and cover ground is very impressive for a bloke his size. He's also got a lovely long left boot. Already one of our better kicks inside 50.

I'd love to see him rest up forward more too.

He has a slightly unusual kick on him but usually puts it to advantage beautifully, like him a lot.

Sometimes get some slithers of gossip about our players, I hear he is very popular with the AFLW team, spends a lot of time with them out of hours apparently 👀

Well comparing them right now I'm pretty sure Langford will get 12 AAs
All the people frothing over Langford are the same people that were frothing over Windsor. There is nothing in Langford's game that is elite. He's an accumulator like a tall Josh Ward from Hawthorn. That's just my opinion. Tauru was the right choice.

Same Tauru that coughed up two direct goals to Sydney yesterday? Sydney then ending up winning by 5 points.

Langford was the better choice and always will be.

Are you drunk? Langford looks like a Bontempelli/Pendlebury hybrid. Hes a joy to watch.

Tauru might be the next Lever/Sicily at best.

he doesn't have the foot skills or the cleanliness of either of those players. He's quite stiff with his head over the footy and overruns a lot of ground balls.

Tauru just had the equal most spoils in the history of the stkilda football club in his 2nd game. A much more gifted athlete and twice the courage (we've already seen Langford squib a few).

I guess we'll see. Langford has had a decent first year don't get me wrong but given the quick decline in May and Lever, I think it was the wrong call.

He is the next Lever. Rooey pretty much pointing out what other clubs have worked Lever out now.

yeah because he's really damaging in the aerial contests. Roo's comments are a back handed compliment. Have you not watched any of stkilda's games? its ok to admit that another team has found a key position gem that is better than our pick.

Anyway, this is going in circles so just PM me if you wanna chat further about this.

Not a back handed compliment at all. He’s stating the clear obvious on Taura's weakness who similar to Lever, doesn't even man an opponent but instead likes to sag off and pick up an intercept mark. So yeah, hes a younger version of Lever, which we didn't need, especially with Turner doing that job just fine.

I dont need to admit shit that doesn't exist. On face value, Langford is well ahead of Taura.

That doesn't mean he'll go out to have the better career but had Langford coughed up the two direct goals as what Taura did yesterday you'd be crying away in a corner screaming what a spud Langford is.

In the end Taura's errors pretty much cost St Kilda the win.

I tend to rate players towards the end of their career, not 5 min after they have started.

Pretty sure this is a bannable offense on BigFooty.
