Well turn that frown upside down PG, because this thread is open for businessEvery time I look at a thread here I expect it to be locked from further replies
Lindsay ain't a nailed pick yet. We've given up two top 10 picks and some others for him.Just as well Taylor absolutely nailed the Langford and Lindsay picks.... jury is still out on the Windsor/Tholstrup combo.
I think the long term goal will still be to have him play in the centre square. I never expected him to be so clean and damaging as a winger though, so if the new coach wants to keep him there for the time being, I'm all for it.Keen to see what role he takes long term with the new coach, I thought he did well on the wing but will need a good preseason to keep building the tank.
Think it was only this year's first and a bunch of junk picks from last year.Lindsay ain't a nailed pick yet. We've given up two top 10 picks and some others for him.
That's not to say he's a failure at all yet. But he'd need to be challenging for best and fairests during his career

True think I included the pick from last year which I guess we never owned.Think it was only this year's first and a bunch of junk picks from last year.
I want to see what Windsor can do under a different coach. But i was all in on Curtain. ATM this looks like a poor draft from JT. Obviously can't nail every selection or every draft, although the Cats seem to go ok lol. But we could have had Curtain, Morris, Langford and Murphy Reid just from the last 2 drafts. That could have fast tracked a rebuild greatly. And those other 3 guys were there. I'm still dirty on the non Curtain pick. I honestly thought we were gonna pick him too. I do think Windsor has something. So obviously hoping he can be a jet. Same with Lindsay. Looks like a future leader, but it's hard seeing Murphy Reid do what he does knowing we were supposedly looking at him. Looked very polished at junior level as well, so not surprised it has transferred to senior footy. Can't believe he went pick 17.Just as well Taylor absolutely nailed the Langford and Lindsay picks.... jury is still out on the Windsor/Tholstrup combo.
Essendon to draft the next Buddy with our 1st rounder this yearLOOK AWAY DEES FANS: Here's the team you could have had!

Not only that but maintaining form. First and 2nd year players often drop off dramatically in form. Kid looks a Superstar in the making. One thing people forget and I rate highly is that he can actually stay injury free and on the park. Look at Richmond with blokes like Smilie, Lalor or Hotton not playing large chunks of the season or Tauru injured half the year. Jagga Smith at Carlton. Even our own Windsor, Tholstrup and Lindsay had decent chunks on the sidelines
A lot of first year players can struggle staying healthy with the rigours but it looks as if Harvey’s body held up well all season.
I dont think there's anything wrong in questioning our drafting last few years. I've definitely heaped praise on JT over the years, but with some of our selections and non selections, you have to start to question whether JT has done a great job. With our inability to attract talent through trade, drafting becomes even more important.LOOK AWAY DEES FANS: Here's the team you could have had!
You can be as critical as you like. Personally, think it's a bit lazy to just look at who we picked and who the current best player available was even if they are 20 picks later like Logan Morris. Just complete hindsight at that point.I dont think there's anything wrong in questioning our drafting last few years. Taylor isn't the best recruiter in the comp but he's also not the worst, and I've seen much much worse recruiting at the Dees over the years than his recent picks. I wouldn't be moving him on. If anything I'd be trying to get more support around him. Hire some more talent scouts to work under him.
Yeah if we can poach like the Dogs, Freo or Hawks recruiter then piss him off tomorrow. Otherwise just give him more support.I agree with this completely. He's not a top 4 recruiter but he's not a bad one either. Probably missed more than hit the last couple years
