You have to wear masks at this event though. Probably due to the amount of people coming in from around the country. The photo is pretty damning too, they’re the only ones in the crowd without a mask on.

Swimming Australia policy. They probably didn't realise and Covid marshalls at the venue should have told them immediately and supplied them with masks.

Yeah don't know, that was in relation to moving from state to state - not attending an event within SA.

It's event specific, the same as the requirement to wear masks at Adelaide Oval.

"Spectators must wear face masks at all times, unless eating or drinking, while on the event side of the Centre. Masks will be provided free of charge at event and accreditation entry points."

The South Australia Aquatic and Leisure Centre, also known as the State Aquatic Centre, is a swimming venue located in the Adelaide suburb of Oaklands Park in South Australia. The centre is managed by the YMCA on behalf of the Government of South Australia.

So on entering the venue they should have been given masks and instructed to wear them.

This has zero to do with the AFL and any penalty should be the same as that imposed on the other people in that pic not wearing masks correctly.
