To be fair, not many teams do. Sometimes it's the individual's anatomy that puts them at greater risk and it's hard to fight Mother Nature.

I’m concerned but not overly concerned about him. He has absolute tree trunk legs and needs to grow into his own body. It is not unusual for kids his size to have the issues that he has and is having. We will likely see some more issues pop up in the near future but we just gotta trust the process.

That being said, fantastic debut season from Sam. We all see the talent and potential. Incredible character, hard worker. He’s a good kid and has everything we could have dreamed for. Can’t wait to watch him again next season and for the next decade plus.

Ps leigh Mathews and Co stated the most important but rare players are the mid forward.

“After three injuries to the same side over the last 12 months, it was clear that it was unlikely that hamstring was going to heal in that spot.

“He will undergo surgery this week and will look forward to hopefully having a quick recovery and get most of pre-season done.”
