You can tell he's in form when he hits the ball at full pace in traffic or packs and just finds a way thru, either with class movement or power and strength.

He has great running form and is very hard to tackle when he's on the move. And when he is on he is just great to watch. Moves and uses the ball with class and skill.

Being comfortable on either side of the body helps him so much.
It astounds me how many players in today’s game are so one sided.

He’s not stabbing his passes anymore either like he was in the first couple of months.
The change up in gameplan has helped him greatly.
 
For a club that has played a reasonable number of finals and won flags in the last 25 years we haven't actually had many top class mids.

Makes it all the trippier watching this bloke ply his craft. No Cunnington style caveats "great player but no leg-speed" - when Higgins is up and about he has it all. Only Wells and Boomer are in the same bracket during this period.
