Hanily looked ok, the shot for goal was hot garbage though or attempted pass, no one knew what he was trying to

Looks the part. If he gets a run of games he will need to create more moments but I believe he has that in him. Believes in himself which is super important.

Yes he does and his confidence will grow the more games he strings together. Can't see him losing his place easily now, and as it's his first full season, essentially a rookie, I'll give him a pass on the small things as long as his form doesn't drop off.

A bit surprised he didn't get a bump from this game. One not so great miss but two good goals. One on the lead but the second required real courage. He must have heard the footsteps as Ladhams' crossfield kick descended but he didn't shirk. Took the ball and the hit almost simultaneously. Went back and kicked it. Very cool.

He’s shown bit for sure but probably not ready quite yet for a contending team. Think he’ll end up back in the reserves once the troops return.

A few games in the seniors certainly won’t harm his development

He looks at home to me playing AFL.

Was Cleary better? Probably not.

Two goals from setshots. Handy contribution in a forward line that has struggled to convert some easy chances this year.

Plus nice handball to set up one of Hayward's goals.

He looks at home to me playing AFL.

He mainly looks calm, in control, aware of what's going on, unafraid of the contest. For mine he needs to pop up a bit more often as an option. A few more games, which he's likely to get, will show whether he has that in him. He may well go back to 2s but I certainly don't see him as a bust.

I’m certainly not suggesting he’s a bust at all, I think he looks a player of the future

He’s been good, has put good forward pressure on and has kicked a couple of goals.

Hes also lacked composure a couple of times but thats to be accepted from someone with a couple of games to his name

In terms of the game I think JK and him had similar output with the difference being TH nailed his chances, and TH was in a functioning forward line

If he can hit that special vein of confidence where the shots just start going in, i reckon he’s a keeper. Still seems a bit nervy.

Definitely keep him in over Cleary. Probably Shledrick. Florent too (but that won’t happen).

I’d be keeping Cleary over Hanily personally but for now there’s definitely room for both. He’s gonna be handy depth if nothing else and I do think if he gets a sustained run at seniors level he’ll start finding that he has more time to work with than he thinks, promising signs.

Shown some good signs and should get better with experience.
