In each case, the decision was vindicated by subsequent outcomes. Add Gibbo, Spud and NDS. If there was so much football left in them, they would have been picked up. Drew and LT went on a year too long. The others finished when they should have finished.

Totally agree, but for someone to say we are only ruthless to an easy target is laughable.

We made hard decisions on club legends that needed to be made. Narrier was a rookie on a 1 year deal, probably averaged 8 possessions a game and ran away from his shadow and a person calls that ruthless.

after seeing him a few times the only question i had is how the hell did he get drafted. no surprises here for me about his delisting

he has a nice looking kicking action and supposedly is pretty quick. might bob up in 5 years time as a mature age prospect in the WAFL but hes got a hell of a long way to go.

Thought we'd give him longer but apart from his highlights vid never rated much he produced in the VFL.

However guys like Narrier and Preuss are exactly how we should utilise the rookie list - high risk/reward types with some known caveats.

Hope we keep swinging at some naturally talented offensive players floating around the WAFL only need 1 or 2 to pay off.

"One-time North Melbourne rookie Gordon Narrier and Lewis Henry, the brother of Fremantle’s Liam are part of the side that travelled to Alice Springs on Tuesday for the National Indigenous Cricket Championships.

Teenage sensation Hayden Collins, the 15-year-old who matched Marcus Harris’ record of three consecutive centuries in junior cricket, is the youngest member of the squad.

... Narrier was taken by North Melbourne in the 2017 rookie draft, returning to Perth for four league games after the 2018 season.

He played three games in the league side for the Demons last year and 11 in the reserves. He is one of three Ballardong Cricket Academy players picked in the side."

Following in the footsteps of the great Adrian McAdam, who wound up playing a match in the NT with Michael Clarke against Bangladesh.
