Simply ask yourself, would you prefer Grigg/Rioli (Rioli ? - did that actually happen in 2018) as relief ruck or Mabior Chol. Rhetorical question I'd have thought.

good work by both big men (in the wet).

Grundy had 9 disposal 3 marks, won the hit outs but didnt do much damage, these two did a great double team on him and both hit the scoreboard.

How things have changed since last year the injuries have helped to improve our team a lot, two big forwards like WCE still have our smalls and other options, 2 rucks and a couple of 2nd rucks, we are a much more complete team than in either 2017 or 2018.

Nankervis back next week so interested to see how he works with Chol as both a very mobile.
I would give Nank another week off and rest him (not play VFL)

We need him in his condition come finals and to be honest against Gawn i wouldnt expect Nank to win the hit outs any way so nothing to gain

I'd be tempted to trial a couple of ruck combos for 2 week blocks and see how they play out. Soldo/Nank; Nank/Chol. Chol/do ruck combo has been going so well though. It has held its own against the leagues best. I think the selectors will go with Nank/Chol.

Grigg is a premiership ruckman.
Chol is not (yet).
Easy choice for me.
It's more than easy, it's a no brainer. People have short memories when it comes to Grigg.
Dimma in his post GF interview on "on the couch" pointed out how good he is as a ruck and how great his GF game was, saying how we won more clearances at stoppages when Nank was off the ground and Grigg in the Ruck compared to when he was on, and noted 6 were in the third quarter.
Chol has a massive spring, and at this stage just tries to get it to our advantage, and doing a decent job, but according to the Dimna interview, Griggs strength was his huge footy smarts and understanding of the game, and how he'd quickly organise mid possitioning and position himself to force the opposition ruck to hit it to our advantage and the majority of time it worked.

Chols a baby in footy terms and will improve outa sight with his backup ruck craft, but the 2019 Chol v pre-injury Grigg is a no brainer which one to choose.
