It must be disheartening as an opposition player seeing him gather the ball in your vicinity. I mean, you're a chance at tackling him, as he will almost always take it on, but in all likelihood you're the one tasked with the futile chase while he runs away from you with a few bounces (just to rub it in!)

There’s a real lack of appreciation for the outrageous stuff he does on a weekly basis.

Number one he saves at least a shot on goal because they were out the back if that ball got over him, but then he gathers in mid air, changes direction with one step on landing, bounced that ball horizontal to himself with both hands while running away from his preferred foot, changed direction while regathering and wrongfoots one of the quickest players in the comp and then hoofed a perfect drop punt swinging out on the left from 50. He does all of things within the space of 5 seconds without getting out of 3rd gear.

Argument to be made he’s got the best body control of anyone in the AFL, he’s genuinely half cat.

The under-appreciation outside of our club continues in a baffling way.

AFL website leave our best 2 players out of Team of the Week (Saad and McKenna), yet find a way to slot Impey on to a HBF.

What he does as a small defender, both defensively and offensively, is truly worthy of far more recognition. What impact did his opponent have? How important were his line-cutting thrusts forward?

Truly baffling. And McKenna was far and away the better player out of he and Impey too.

Astonishing blindness at AFL HQ? No way. How Impey was seen to have had a better game than either is political nonsense - they've been picking on Stratton since Friday. Have to give their fans something to hold on to.
