I always found Battlefield 1942 and its springoffs to be meh games so BF 2 was always meh with better graphics. They are fun for the odd LAN but I never found myself playing the single player campaigns or long multiplayer sessions.

back in the day when this was released, i used to play this game for ridiculous hours at a time. Time would just fly. It was awesome. The ranking system was great and there were always plenty of servers. never struggled to find a game and there werent many dropouts. the special forces expansion was cool, didnt get into the other expansions though. single player sucked ass, the AI was terrible, but who cares, the MP made up for it. for its time, 9/10.

Awesome game! Fantastic in it's time. Still play it sometimes when i'm up for some 64 player modern warfare.

Loved sniping from the big arse cranes.

9/10
