Sandy's isn't that bad. Basil's? **** off mate, you're a crap commentator.

Unfortunately, large portions of our marketing oozes 'cringe'
I must admit I don't mind it too much. I thought it was a pretty good call. AMT actually sounds pretty good as far as nicknames go and makes a lot of sense since his real name is so long.
But I'm OK with being in the minority on this one.
Basil gets a pass because 'AMT' is actually his initials, and given how he commentates it'd take him a good minute to get through the whole thing.
We should just be lucky that Basil doesn't call him Dempsey.
I hate basil, he should **** off back to the herb garden
Nothing will ever beat the Dempsey/Ryder/Langford commentator confusion love triangle
Basil is seriously that bad (or blind) that one day he'll call Josh Green, AMT.
Walla has cracked the top 100 for the first time.
Significant achievement considering he has only just hit 40 games.
Only Petracca has played less games from the top 100.
After kicking 13.12 across the first part of the year, he's booted 19.4 from round 11 onwards.
The way he is able to continually work on and improve his weaknesses is quite amazing.
Could easily have been happy just getting a regular game in seniors, but just continues to work so hard every week. Sets a great example. Gun.
That's a really nice improvement. Early in the season I thought he was quite wasteful in front of goal - for a player of his skill level. I reckon part of it was really just concentration after being fatigued. Up forward you have to work pretty hard to get the ball and it probably took him a while to acclimatise to that. I don't think there has ever been any question about his skill level.
I have also noticed that his set shot routines seem to have sharpened up. He didn't seem to have too much of a routine early on in the season but now he looks quite confident and set in his approach, particularly from the trickier boundary shots.
Unfortunately while him and Daniher have improved as goal kickers - Green and Stewart seem to have gotten worse.
'My uncle [Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti] does as well.... Ever since he was at least 10 years old, he's always wanted to be a professional AFL player ... and he had to put in for, like, 10 years he was training. He had this one goal, and he got it.'

Thought it was a good read and spotted Tarlinas comments. Thought it makes Walla's story more awe inspiring and for players alike finals is the icing on the cake. Well done boys you do us proud.
The article though is an interactive article featuring some of the top 10 sports ladies of differing body images. Thanks for the ladies. Love you all.
Ohhh I dunno Sandy Roberts gets underneath your skin whereas Basil sticks his nose up everyone's arses!
Walla came 4th in the Coaches Association best young player of the year.
Well done Walla
1. Clayton Oliver (Melbourne) 72
2. Sam Menegola (Geelong) 38
3. Christian Petracca (Melbourne) 29
4. Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (Essendon) 19
5. Marcus Adams (Western Bulldogs) 16
What a strange award.
Menegola is 25 and Adams is 24 and played 11 games.
Not to mention the innumerable other players under 25 who are better than that whole list save Oliver.
I feel like i'm missing something really obvious here...
No age or games limit, you just have to be in your first 2 years of senior footy. I think they've made a blue with Menegola though, surely the 3 seasons he spent at Freo and the Hawks count??
Petracca also in his third season. They must only count seasons where you actually play
Not nominated for goal of the year.
Reckon he will benefit from the week off, needed a freshen up. Will come out breathing fire again
Has become a seriously good player.
Reckon he is a bit like Stevie Johnson and Cyril in that he is built for finals. Reckon he will go ape shit on Saturday.
Based on what exactly?
All the finals he's played. Durr
