Unless he gets injured there is no chance Setterfield will miss out on selection round 1.
Not that simple. Won't train fully until January and apart from Docherty we are all fit. Russell won't rush him especially if we have 30 plus very fit players to choose from. People need to remember he is still young and only played TWO AFL games

Plenty of time. He looks in pretty good condition, I think he's probably missed a bit of competitive stuff and done a lot of fitness instead which is plenty. We won't have much quality, we're a bottom side thin on this type of quality, he will play. He will not be playing VFL. Most of our list is young and hasn't played much footy. I don't think we will be considering experience much at all. If he puts in some good JLT form then he will play. This is someone who we rate highly and if he demonstrates he can play good footy then he will play.

I’m not one to place unnecessary pressure on a young player ... but ...

I think he will have a more decorated career than E.J Whitten.

I don’t think any of his draft year promise has diminished. And you’d give 2 second rounders for pick 5 any day of the week. So we may have a real special one on our hands here.

Along with Walsh and Stocker, we could emerge with a forceful and new midfield triumvirate.

Been a lot of talk around Walsh’s game and rightly so, but watching Setters live last night he looked every bit the elite young talent, was really impressed with how he moves for a tall 192cm mid, he had some great flashes and love the way he chase to put on pressure and tackle. Another beaty from SOS

Yup! Has all the tools. The fact that he is great in the air and can plug a hole is going to be so valuable.

ATM he's like an unpolished Bontempelli. Hopefully he can develop the poise and delivery. I always did wonder how good it'd be if we saw Crippa and Bont playing together - this might be the closest thing we can get.
