DY is not wrong with Cam. He is spot on with his assessment of not offering anything defensively and costs momentum with selfishness.

Duckyeah plays a game. He plays a game called +1. It is revolutionary to assessing a players worth in a team.

I have played this game for a long time because I see the game through a lense of players failing and buttering over their shit sandwiches with glorified statistics.

I sit on level 2 and invite my fellow north nuffy mates along and when I was 2 out we decided to play. He come around and saw things very differently when Jy was a negative player.

Cam is also a negative player despite goals because he is directly involved in goals going the other way because he does not pull his weight and/or a selfish campaigner that thinks he is eddie betts.

You can hold my opinion to scrutiny. His 2025 was far better than any other year but he still kicked majority of goals within 15m of the goal line, he is a joe the goose junk time specialist. People call Larkey Joe, Cam is equally a front runner down hill skier.

I really hope Wardlaw comes on, stays injury free and signs a contract because he is everything Cam is not and THATS what makes a gun footballer

If Cam wasn't lazy and didn't make poor/selfish/stupid decisions he'd be one of the best players in the comp but unfortunately those weaknesses are why he didn't get drafted in the actual draft.

Can't fault his courage tho. Gutsy as.

He would've made the margin considerably larger if he played against the Tigers.

Maybe we get closer to the Crows too.
WE scored over 100 points three times this season just gone.

Two of those times we didn't have Nick Larkey. WE didn't have Zurhaar for 1 3/4 of those games as well. In that 1 and 3/4 games we scored over 200 points.

For better or worse, interesting that he's set to be named in the leadership group
Not against it. Suspect he might take after Lmac a fair bit with the off field stuff. He's already half way there. Organise dinners and events, bonding opportunities for the lads, and then on gameday not take a backward step. If he's fair dinkum about it then a large part will be addressing his oft noted issues with selfishness on gameday. Defensive accountability too, tbh, like a few there's too many moments where he's happy to walk while the opposition work it out of their backline. I don't think your leaders have to be your best players, but they have to be team players.

****in Ey, He’s an honest trier. For what he is, he goes alright BUT if North want to go to the promise land, he aint it.

If he was our fifth most important forward instead of our second or third and he poped up with the bags he does while working hard defensively we'd be a very good scoring side.

I dunno .. I'd almost rather have Jy back in the leadership group than Larkey captain and CZ in there. (And that's untenable after what happened.)

Just have a bad feeling about it.

You probably won't appreciate this but there is no way a Zurhaar type player would be in the AFLW side's leadership group and possibly not even in the side.

Not sure who else you put in there to be fair out of the senior guys and the young guys are almost too young.
Wardlaw? Colby? FOS? Hardemann? Pink? PC? You're not putting Corr or Logue in, attitude not good enough imo.
I'd probably prefer Parker in there, but only just got there.

Hang on.. what have I missed? Zurhaar in the leadership group? WTF? No! Thats what we need, a plodding, sheep dog, joe the goose, try for miraculous goal rather than centre the pill, as a leader? This club is ****ed, you dont put people in a leadership group for reasons “just because” if there isn’t anyone for the spot so be it.

Parker for sure.

Toby Pink is a better choice than many people think. He's playing off the back of how hard he works and the effort he's put in.

Look it could be good for Zurhaar too with bit of guidance. Might push him to do the things we are whinging about him not doing. If it doesn't it could be a very bad look tho.

EDIT - I'd prefer Darling too. Great preparation and sacrifices his game for the good of the side, even if he's probably a bit past it onfield. They're young guys, I'd rather they see that from their leaders than poor decisions onfield and not chasing hard out of the forward line.

Apparently he is. Dunno for sure yet.

I actually really like it.

He is a bit of a barometer in our side, especially when it comes to defensive pressure. Having a leadership role might bring out the best in him when it comes to intensity and pressure.

He hasn't done it the easy way either has Zurhaar, he was taken in the rookie draft, didn't have the best attitude, poor trainer, lacked professionalism, but he has worked bloody hard to get to a solid level of athleticism despite not being that gifted on that front.

Definitely a guy who has a deep burning fire for things he loves (not a cooking reference).

If we can tap into that to direct that passion to the team then he's a good choice.

shinboner magic disagree all you want, you live in denial and are settled to be a B grade team with B grade results. What do they say about trying the same thing and expecting different results?
You should stop crying in every thread then 👍🏼

Oh nah, you’re right. North have brought so many fond and happy memories. You’re right again, just be happy, everything is fine. Zurhaar is in the leadership group..

Dont worry BF North. Everything is fine.

Corr, McdOnalds, Zurhaars, simpkins all best 22 and we are going places in 2026. Its fine. Pop the champagne, finals here we come
