Jake Lloyd

Player Profile

Jake Lloyd is a ball magnet, an endurance machine, a clean user of the footy and a calming influence on the Sydney Swans’ half-back line. The former rookie-listed Swan averaged 27.22 disposals per match between 2016 and 2019 and won the club’s 2018 Bob Skilton Medal. Lloyd became the quickest Swan in history to reach 100 senior games when he ran out against Hawthorn at the MCG in Round 8, 2018. He was then recognised as one of the best players in the league when he was selected for Victoria in the State of Origin match for bushfire relief in February 2019. Draft history: 2013 Rookie Draft selection (Sydney) No. 15; 2014 AFL Draft rookie elevation (Sydney).

Guys like McVeigh & Grundy would be on peanuts for next year though. I don't think Lloyd's deal would have any impact on them.
I don't think it's about the money available from Lloyd not signing but more so about the draining of experience. Macca and Reg may not have been offered extensions if Llyoyd was staying. The moment they were offered new contracts it looked like Lloyd was gone to me.

Nothing wrong at all but I feel if we wanted to pay more we would have come to the party & got it done earlier.
We have never been a club to get involved in the bidding war. If true that he has rejected two offers, then I think we are done & Jake is doing the steering from here. I've never worried about players one they move on, as long as they give us good service to the end. Lloydy has been terrific so let's hope that continues until he plays his last game for the Bloods, be it now or much later.

All Australian... hope he stays

Maybe Jones putting his hand up about the midfield is a subtle push for Sydney to re sign Jake

Seems odd that lloyd hasnr asked for trade yet. Been speculated all year and with us and gc both sitting on our asses right now,i would have thought something would have been said by now

No clubs have come and out expressed interest in him yet
