At first I thought he was a little brash, then hearing him talk about how he wants his actions to show kids to be confident and be themselves and putting that in context with his upbringing and story I’m understanding it as he’s being a leader and a role model.
Pretty impressive from him and from the club to recognise it as that and not as bullsh.t carry on.
Goddamn love this club.

Firstly, kudos for using the word 'brash' - :) - rarely used but very apt because I agree, that is how Stacky looked at first.
However it now is evident that it is just a real self-belief and confidence which are important commodities.
Coupled with what look to be elite skills and competitiveness and you have the real package. (**** of stringer)

A week is a long time between games and it is also a long time between training sessions.
After copping a spray from head coach Damien Hardwick for being late to last week’s training session, Sydney Stack wasn’t about to let lightning strike twice.

Our man on the ground at this morning’s training session, SAM BUNN tells us Stack was among the first players out on the track this morning.

If he carries on as he has started, and given the subjective nature of the Rising Star voting, and presuming he gets a nomination at some point, Sydney must be a really strong chance to take out the Rising Star Award. If Walsh and Rozee are playing better than Stack in reality I will eat my hat. Put it this way, if you kicked a ball to the three of them and asked them to compete for it then use it meaningfully, I know who I'd be backing, even moreso if you removed some of the rules.

I think we are all in awe of what Stack has been able to produce so far this season and if we had used a top 10 pick for him we would not be disappointed
but Walsh & Rozee are both having great years and fully entitled to be favourites to take out the rising star award but stack would be in the top 5 without a doubt.

And if you kicked the ball to them and asked them to compete for it from a level starting position, who wins...? And who uses it best? I agree the other pair are having great first seasons, but Stack loses nothing in comparison imo. I have yet to see either of the other pair:

- kick a torpedo goal
- physically destroy the AFL's toughest player
- soar over a pack of bigger players to take a sensational mark
- execute a tribal war dance in front of 80,000 perfectly, including finishing opposition charge and roar
- do whatever that other dance is
- eat a whole meat, cheese and cracker platter himself that took Dimma's daughter and 14 of her friends to eat one between them
- stroll into a state squad meeting smashing a monster KFC box like he was born doing it

The list goes on and on. Face it, Walsh and Rozee are good novice footballers, Stack has tricks up his sleeve they can't touch.

I agree totally! And have any of those two got a Coach's index finger imprint on their chest like SS!?! That's akin to a badge of honour! :thumbsu::cool::thumbsu:
Bolts would not be able to reach high enough for Walsh!
