Hate to say it but Stack is the perfect player for West Coast IMO, would cost them nothing, still young and from Perth. Having him off their half back line at Optus stadium would be dangerous. The only thing they would have to be careful of is his off field behaviour and getting back in trouble with the old crowd.

Free swing if you ask me.
Perfect half back at Richmond.

He can't lock down. Can you name a single scalp he took while playing down back in the last three years? I certainly cant. I'd even go as far as to say Mansell shows more as a lockdown defender and I certainly wouldn't be promoting him to best 22 anytime soon.

Don't agree with your characterisation of the positions of any of the other players. Banks in particular hasn't gone near being an inside mid at VFL level.
Ummm are you serious? he was one of our best players late last year, not to mention 2019 form.

exactly the kind of game he played yesterday... didn't get much of the ball and tried to do too much when he got it. Needs to work harder and forget the ego. Reckon he could be gone end of season
Sorry have you been watching his footy of late. The week before he was part of everything and used the ball constructively setting up play all over the place. The last 6 weeks or more he has been a really good team player, first in to congratulate team mates. Easily the best user of the ball in the team. Was probably a bit disappointed about not getting a game, and he had every right to, so wasn't quite as switched on but his effort was good, his ball use was fine just wasn't quite as up. Nothing to do with hard work and ego. He's been a really hard season stuck in the one position for him not able to play his natural game across half back or even the wing. He may well be gone by the end of the season and I wouldn't blame him one bit.

4 years at a club like Richmond who is seen to be very much a caring and fair club to its players
and to be perfectly hones has only played 2-3 decent games and 1-2 very good games at VFL level this year

Not too sure clubs are going to be thinking yeah Richmond really cant develop him and our system will get the best out of him
Sydney Stack doesnt really do himself any favors with his off season conditioning always coming back in average condition

Just have to take a look at young MRj and the shape he was 18 months ago compared to now and by 2023 he will have the fitness base play midfield
stack will probably come back in same shape as he has last 3 years

I dont think he will be a great loss as you cant miss what you never had

So why have they not played him behind the ball in one game this season when he came in as a half back and even last year was a half back playing good footy after almost no preseason if they are so caring. It's the strangest dealing of a player I can remember.

Because we dont need him behind the ball and have better options like Short , Rioli Baker
simple

Short is playing midfield. Baker is everywhere, they have played Ralph Smith down back. Mansell also, was tried up forward for two weeks before they sent him back. They have been experimenting with Stack for 15 weeks. He is as talented as Rioli, in fact he is very similar to Rioli but I think with an extra touch of class and toughness that Rioli doesn't have. I would have him behind Martin and Bolton as our most naturally talented player.

After 15 weeks wouldn't you think that they might try something else and let him try and resurrect himself. What if Rioli gets injured, he would be next in line. Wasting his talent. Would love him to stay and duke it out in his best position, which could also be the wing, but it isn't a small pressure forward.

North Melbourne would be mad not to have a crack, he'd be their best player.

You would think that with all the experienced coaches we have at the club they would have considered that and have decided thats not an option
The coaches have the runs on the board and know & see what we dont and i trust their judgement fully in the situation regarding Stack

He either makes it or doesnt and moves on and after 4 years i think we have seen what he has and his dedication is not upto elite level

Agree with a lot of this, but seriously?
He played a lot more than 2 or 3 decent games.
Was quite a revelation in his first season but copped an injury late and never quite got back.
Was playing good footy late last year at a time when we had injuries and you would have expected two and three-time premiership players to stand up and fill the void of those missing, but they didn't. Say hello George.
Sadly, he's own worse enemy.
He lucked in coming to us. Had we not been coming off a premiership in 2017 and even better year without a premiership in 2018, we would not have taken the gamble on him. Right place right time.
We wouldn't have risked a pick on him five years earlier.

Thats this year in the VFL not his career
