Anyone have any insight as to what the issues are at home for him?
Just from a pretty rough family by the sounds of it, he doesn’t have the same issue that Dayle Gartlett did just had a pretty violent upbringing and wants a fresh start away from it so coming to Victoria will be perfect for him.

A wild guess would be the too often issues of extended family (cousins/uncles) and/or friends with poor life skills. He has an amazing opportunity to break away. We all want to see another gun player added to the team, but moreso for his sake, lets hope he can succeed.

It's a bit more complex than that..... domestic violence

fair swap

+ stacky on the rookie list :thumbsu:
We actually traded #68 to Geelong for their 4th round pick in 2019
We selected English with our own 4th rounder

If Xavier Niash is nominated by Richmond as a father son next year and a bid comes after pick #50 this 4th rounder from Geelong will be enough to match the bid

Nope, 68 became 62 with all the matching of bids and we traded our 4th to Geelong.

In effect we traded Stengle for English and Stack

Stack, Collier-Dawkins and Higgins will be our starting midfield in five years.
Yeah fingers crossed
Higgins, Graham, Bolton, Rioli, Collier-Dawkins, Ross, English, Stack, Naish and Turner thru the guts and wings looks awesome.
CCJ, Garhwaite, Miller, Balta and Chol? in key positions looks pretty good too.
Hears hoping it works out this way.

Parents forced him to have a poster of the carltoon Football club on his wall.

Not sure about others and i know its not a direct swap of players but for me its Stengle for Stack (if he is listed)

I will be watching the careers of these 2 boys closely to see how we did by letting Stengle go so cheaply, I was expecting a pick in the 40's for him and was disappointed with the resulting pick

Its English vs Stack though

Stengle is unrelated, not even rookie drafted

Not only was the pick we got for Stengle not used on Stack, they are completely different types of players, the only link is they are both indigenous

Completely different you say !!

Both around same height & Weight
Both are indigenous
Both are foward midfielders
Both are similar ages

Only difference i see is that Stengle is more attacking mid/fwd than stack who is more a defensive mid
Completely different ?

Stengle isnt and will never be a mid..

Stengle is a small forward, Stack is an inside mid

Probably not but was playing midfield in many games at VFL level last year

Stengle can play midfield but again similar to stack fitness & conditioning was not at elite level to maintain this
You are not winning this.

I look at Stack as an eventual improvement on Conca, although he is a little raw to be compared to him at this stage.
