What a rollercoaster (in a good way). From not even getting picked in the rookie draft to getting a standing o coming off the g. The only other times I can remember that happening the way it did were Dusty and Cotchin in the 17 finals.

And the way he flattened Viney. From where I was sitting I thought it must have been Fritsch or someone.

He's doing well in his public communications so far but I believe the Club should manage the amount of contact going forward. The media has a habit of building persona's only to tear them down and he is only young. On his football ability...just wow. I can see a quality short backman being traded out over the next few years as I cant see anyone taking his spot.

Amazing, He's Pickett, Wanganeen and Mitchell all rolled into one.

This draft is shaping up us one our best ever.

Compared himself to Byron Pickett after the game according to Riewoldt.
The way he was gliding around half back with the ball tucked under 1 arm, immediately reminded me of a 300 game, dual l norm smith medalist from Adelaide.

I have a special reason for liking that bump. I'm of Tasmanian Aboriginal (Palawa) descent through my Mum whose maiden name just happens to be Viney. For this reason I have a clear memory that a Viney (Todd) was alleged to have racially abused Chris Lewis back in 1991. Just did a bit of googling to confirm and it happened. Lewis had been charged with biting Viney and his club had pointed out in his defence that it was in response to "abuse" but, for reasons that made more sense back then than now, were reluctant to add that the abuse was racial. Though this latter point eventually leaked out. I remembered it all for the disappointment that a Viney (though I don't think he's any relation) had been a racist arseh*le. So it was great to see the spawn of Todd sprayed on the turf by our new indigenous super hero, like a Kgai’dai’chi (clever man) seeking payback for a past transgression - the footballing equivalent of a spear through the thigh.

Got that air of confidence about himself.
Reminds me of that wanka Anthony Mundine without the wanka part.
Kids usually at this stage of their career keep a low profile. But not Sydney.

Anybody remember how Slimey Viney was being the tough guy last year.....Stack has evened the ledger
We are +1 when Rance went wife beater on Jackie Watts

Freak. Looks like potentially being a genuine star. Cant remember a more exciting first 3 games in a debut season. He has it all, flair, toughness, composure, marking ability, skills and just one of the purest footballers I remember seeing.

He must be resigned for one billion dollars. How soon can a player become your favourite player?
