Has a bloody great CV , love that we bolstered our contested ball winners , hopefully a couple come through and help us step upView attachment 593307
From AFL Draft Central
The Under-18 All-Australian had a sensational season with the Demons that certainly enhanced his draft prospects. A dynamic playmaker, Stack is a strong clearance player in the middle but also has the explosiveness to worry defenders when resting forward. In 11 games, Stack averaged 23 possessions, eight tackles and two marks. His noteworthy games came against East Fremantle in round two (24 possessions and 13 tackles), East Perth in round four (24 possessions, seven tackles and six inside 50s), West Perth in round five (27 possessions, six tackles, six inside 50s and two goals) and Peel Thunder in round 15 (25 possessions and seven tackles).
None of the u18 just drafted are up to AFL fitness , read my lips , noneAnd how do you know that?

Just hope he shows the right attitude to grab his chance with both hands , his footy ability is top notch. Early signs are good , keep at it kid ,,,ps stay in Melbourne over ChristmasI was thinking something similar, particularly not afraid of body contact with tackling. In fact by those figures looks as though he enjoys that side of the game which is ideal.... Looking at some video (limited) doesn't appear to be intimidated by bigger bodies either, which is also great!
Thats Rubbish , Higgins last year was good enough to play 20 games and even played midfield at timesNone of the u18 just drafted are up to AFL fitness , read my lips , none
I thought I referred the draftees not being at afl fitness not 12m into their career ,,, read my lipsThats Rubbish , Higgins last year was good enough to play 20 games and even played midfield at times
Just have a look through the rising star nominee's to see how the 1st year kids went,Sure they wont be like a 4 year player but certainly upto afl level
English & Turner would be up to AFL level to play but will they be played is another story, Years ago Judd,Delidio etc

Looking at the video on the RFC website as well as asking a friend who runs the tan every day of the week ( dont know how he can be farqd)
The new recruits in RCD,Ross,Turner,Aarts,English,Weller were all running the 3klm time trial - Stack was not there
Maybe he will be with the rest of the group but just seemed strange all the new boys were there except Stack
I really don't care what times anyone does around the tan. I want to see them get the pill, kick it to advantage and tackle like hell when we don't have the ball. Stack seems to do that. He has had a troubled family life which may explain his attitude towards training. However, he has oodles of talent. You can make someone fitter, but you can't give them ability. Instead of lambasting him, just get behind him. Instead of saying his fitness is shit, say he is starting from a low base and working his way up. Imagine how good he could be with a couple of preseasons under his belt!Take that Banana out of your mouth if you want me to read your lips , So are you saying that new draftee's are not fit enough to play AFL level football ?
Maybe answer the question i asked you about the players last year that had great years , Its clear as day that Stack has had issue's with his training and attending training in the past and he has a shit fitness base and thats his decision if he pulls his finger out and gets better but the point i made is Valid currently he is miles behind most if not all the young players drafted
Nobody is lambasting him mate , I hope he becomes a gun player for the Richmond Football Club as much as anybody here, But the kid has a way to go to even be able to get a game at his current level of fitness and thats exactly the point i made before getting jumped on as if i was plotting the kidI really don't care what times anyone does around the tan. You might be overplaying the fitness levels a bit. He had good numbers in WA, and was considered a good perhaps top 20 prospect albeit with some issues. You don't get 20+ possessions from being completely slack. Higgins quit school and donated all his time to becoming an AFL player. He is an oddity, because most of them are doing VCE and training with their TAC club, which is far below AFL level as half those kids are underage etc.Nobody is lambasting him mate , I hope he becomes a gun player for the Richmond Football Club as much as anybody here, But the kid has a way to go to even be able to get a game at his current level of fitness and thats exactly the point i made before getting jumped on as if i was plotting the kid
There is no doubting his natural talent and his family whilst being a distraction is not the only reason why he missed training sessions and his work ethic at training was also another part of the reason he was passed by in the draft.
Time will tell if he has what it takes to stick it out and work hard - Hope he does
No, not from the get go , do you think any of them would get a game next week , bottom clubs excepted , you’re kidding yourselfTake that Banana out of your mouth if you want me to read your lips , So are you saying that new draftee's are not fit enough to play AFL level football ?
