I know it wasn't mentioned but wouldn't be surprised to see us pick him up again as a rookie if no one takes him before we get the chance to pick. Was too much talk throughout the year of him being re-signed for me to believe we will just walk away.

Hopefully scare the shit out of him and give him the wake up call he needs.

Other clubs baords already talking anout picking him up for FREE. unbelievable to think a couple of years ago. Going to spew at the thought of burning our team with his speed and skill in the future.

Butler higgens chol etc all seem to have their best games against us.

Fremantle list boss David Walls on Sydney Stack, as reported on SEN:

Meanwhile, Richmond’s delisting of Sydney Stack prompted the suggestion Fremantle could use his services.

Stack – a West Australian – wasn’t offered a new contract for 2023 after just two games in 2022.
But despite the talent that made him Richmond’s best first-year player in 2019, Walls said the club won’t pursue the 22-year-old.

“I’d say no,” Walls responded when asked about the possibility of recruiting Stack.

“We’ve looked at Sydney previously and through the draft, he’s probably got to show that he can get himself fit and he’s dedicated and come back through the WAFL and have a really good season.

“If he can do that we’d definitely have a look at him.”

Just being honest. Hopefully it's the kick up the ass he needs. I hope he makes it but you can't blame us for delisting him.
A kick up the arse or more dicipline won't help him. He's got major issues from his childhood.
He's never gonna be super diciplined and a machine like other players. The best you could hope for is how he went in his first season.
Yes you can't blame them for delisting him but I think he might have been given a chance to show up fit after Christmas considering this weak draft.
I don't have much faith in our picks this year unless they've got someone hidden away or take a chance on a mature ager.

He will spend a year in wafl and kill it. He is stengle 2.0

Low key still no over us wasting a spot on Matt Parker the last two seasons when we could have picked up Stengle.

Never had any issues at least publicly whilst he was with us and only left for more opportunity.

Stack may go back to the Wafl and become a star there and come back to AFL and become the player we all wanted him to become or he may be selected by another club and become a star but the fact remains he has been at Richmond for 4 years and has not improved 1 bit since the day he arrived and has gone backward. If he does make it it doesnt mean he would have had he stayed at Richmond

Some players just need that kick in the ass to wake up

Clearly he has not been doing whats asked of him during the off season
It's far more than that. His off season must have continued through the whole season because it looked from the outside that they were trying to teach him a lesson or something. Would be far more likely that he either had a personality conflict or that he didn't prepare himself properly week to week, ie his professionalism. He was at the club in late October, so plenty of time to get himself cherry ripe. But it seems he didn't for some reason only the coaches would know about.

I'd like to us do what we did with Egg again with Stack. Give him the opportunity to win that last spot back on the list.

I won’t be surprised is exactly what what we do. We had to either elevate or delist Stack (to enable us to re-rookie him) and say what you want about RCD and Martyn, but if out of the three of them who deserved a spot on the senior list more, Stack consistent unprofessionalism probably would of had him last.

So an invite to train with the group and if he comes back in great shape and ready to go, may well re-draft him to the rookie list. Xavier Clarke did indicate he’d had another year and that may be the path it happens.

I didn’t mind the swing on Parker based on his athletic profile and moving to the wing at South Fremantle where he showed a bit.

That said, Stengle was clearly the better player and considering the apparent praise Richmond’s list management and coaching staff heaped on him when Geelong were asking about him, am very surprised we didn’t pounce at that stage too.

Missed that one did the RFC.

Mate, you aren’t a member of the club after the joy they’ve given us over the last few years????

I was there when we were down, but unfortunately wasn't there when we were up. I saw 2 finals wins and 2 finals losses live in my time as a supporter.

I was always going to retire from going to the footy when Matthew Knights retired.

I remember I was only 24 at the time I retired from going to games and my mates were telling me I was to young to retire, but I was happy with my decision, and with Fox Footy being launched in 2002 I just never felt like going to games and getting memberships again.
I did flirt with a comeback in 2005 when I went to 2 games as a non-member, Geelong in rnd 1 and the game Nathan Brown broke his leg in (I left right after Brown broke his leg), it was then I knew the Tigers were never going to win a flag in my time as a supporter so I thought I'll continue on as a fan, and I've never regretted it.

The plan was if we signed up Stack I was going to get a membership and try get to some games, but it wasn't meant to be.

When the stand rule came in I got rid of Foxtel and started listening to games on the radio again (if they weren't on free to air), if we won I watched the replay, if we lost I didn't even bother watching it, I'm telling ya, it's the best way to follow footy these days imo! No stress from the stupid rule changes, because if you only watch when you win you don't care what the rules are!

it will be the dusty cumbo and big sexy show all year

inb4 cumbo rotts in the 2s so dusty can play forward then asks for a trade
