Get excited Willie fans:

"In some more uplifting news, the football department boss said exciting goalsneak Willie Rioli should line up against the Dockers at Subiaco Oval on Sunday.

Rioli succumbed to a minor knee injury during West Coast’s inaugural AFLX tournament a fortnight ago, but he has made a full recovery will front up against Fremantle if he gets through main training tomorrow.

“Willie just has to get through training this week and he should play on Sunday,” Vozzo said."

Get even more excited Willie fans!

He is risen! Confirmed as making his debut this Easter Sunday against the Bulldogs.

He'll be the 238th Eagles player (assuming Ainsworth misses the cut), the fifth player to wear the famous number 44 (behind Bennell, Weedon, Begovich and of course Wirra), the second Will/Willie/William and amazingly the first player from the Northern Territory to play for the Eagles.

Excuse the intrusion .. but have been following Willie since we met him in Junior Footy. All very excited .. and wish him all the best.

No need to apologise , we aren’t that hostile to guests ;)

" In probably his best performance in his debut season Willie Rioli gathered 16 possessions and kicked two goals. But aside from the obvious in the stats column alongside his name, Rioli worked hard to create opportunities for teammates. He had eight score involvements and most of them resulted in goals. One of the more satisfying examples came in the last quarter when the pace and guile of Rioli and Petruccelle resulted in a game-sealing major. "

It feels like Willie has sponsored me this year.

The forecasts are in for his GF:
  • 12.3 disposals
  • 2.6 scoring shots or goal assists
  • 61.0 SuperCoach points.

Actual stats:
  • 12 disposals
  • 3 scoring shots of goal assists
  • 68 SuperCoach points.
I'd say that the forecast was pretty bloody good.

Willie Rioli, Premiership Star.
