Has surpassed menadue. Time to reward his reserves form with games in the ones. Straight swap for menadue. Impressed how he’s put on 8 kg’s in 1 year. Menadue and Corey Ellis put on half as much combined over 5 pre seasons. Lynch will love his precision delivery.
Menadue is going to be replaced by a bloke called Cotchin

“WHAT A LUXURY”: WHY YOUNG TIGER WILL BENEFIT FROM EXTENDED VFL STINT

453ACA72-6A7B-4B06-8494-EAD70091F46C.jpeg

Richmond youngster Patrick Naish will benefit from learning his craft in the VFL before his eventual integration into the senior side, according to Garry Lyon.
Naish – the son of former Tigers small forward Chris – was selected by the Tigers with pick No.34 in the 2017 AFL Draft and is still waiting to make his AFL debut.
By biding his time at VFL level, Lyon believes the father-son draftee will flourish at the next level in a similar pathway to that of Geelong sensation Gryan Miers.
“You have a kid called Patrick Naish, who is the son of Chris. He’s playing really good VFL footy,” the former Melbourne skipper told SEN Breakfast.
“A highly rated, high draft pick who was a star in the under 18 competition … they haven’t even trotted him out yet, Richmond.
“You compare him to a Liam Stocker for instance or a Jack Lukosius up on the Gold Coast who just get thrown into their teams and just keep getting played.
“In the meantime, Patrick Naish is just doing his stuff a bit like Gryan Miers last year, a year of VFL footy against senior men with no real time pressure – what a luxury.
“Learn your craft, learn the standards … you get a really test of where you’re at. Then when they come in, they’re ready.”
Naish, 20, has been in fine form mixing his time between half-back and wing in Richmond's VFL side that sits on top of the ladder with seven wins from seven games.

Naish is pretty outside but when he gets it things happen, gets it and runs and cuts open opposition zones. Bit of Lachie Whitfield about him

Fraser Turner was the other one that really stood out as well. Just knows how to find the footy and uses it well. Put his head in the hole a couple of times as all, very courageous. Hopefully another late draft gem

I’d love to see some of that from Menadue. He has the same skill set but he just slows up draws the man and pops it over the top. Fine if that’s your A game but it would be nice if he mixes it up and takes someone on.

All look like guns , how lucky are we that these kids get a fair dinkum 20g plus vfl apprenticeship before being thrown to wolves , certainly proving to be a great grounding to hit it running at afl , compare that to the bloos having to throw AFL games to draftees well before they’re ready

Experiencing a footy system no matter how poor has to be better than being thrown into AFL games first up...that's how green shoots get trodden on!
