How has he had a year off with an ACL, in the gym every single day, and not put on 1 gram worth of muscle..?
Hes fine to play, passed the HIAWas off at the end of the game for a hia.
Did he fail or is he right to play vs the pies?
mature rookie pathway too. Good call.

Edwards is exactly the type of player that would normally play for the Pies and kick 3-4 goals on ANZAC Day.
And then admit they made a mistake and we just have to live with that almighty ****-up in a close game where we were already down a player. So, a bloke watching a TV screen 1700km away can overrule club doctors who have actually assessed the player in-person? Good job AFL.

The AFL can deem a club brings the game into disrepute yet stuff like this is shrugged off as a once-off error when, in actual fact, they themselves are the ones truly dissing the reputation of the competition.
There’s been far worse hits to th head where player has gone on and found to have concussion later. De Goey the other week for one. What could this bloke have seen that the doctors at the ground didn’t see?So, a bloke watching a TV screen 1700km away can overrule club doctors who have actually assessed the player in-person? This. If they want to be open and honest with the football public we have to know what this ARC doctor saw that was so ‘compelling’.What could this bloke have seen that the doctors at the ground didn’t see?
ah hahahahaIf they want to be open and honest with the football public
Good pointah hahahaha
List spots in general are tight. As far as the rookie list goes we already have SEH, Visentini, Edwards (now confirmed) and ADW all a good chance of being there next year. Then you likely have a couple of MSD picks, bam there's 6 for next year and we're at capacity unless someone gets delisted or upgraded at the ND.
It's a hasty decision for a mature aged recruit whose fitness base is lower than most mature aged picks due to being coeliac, will be 26 before he plays AFL again and is coming off an ACL.
It's looking like a very good decision now eth-dog to sign the Messiah up so quickly. Early days but the Messiah is working well with May & Caddy...
Couldn’t be anything to do with the AFL’s nepotism baby could it?I don't get why the ban was overturned. The contact looked avoidable to me, and Noble's feet were off the ground when contact was made. Strange. Is the league trying to reduce the number of concussions or not?

efaI'd be putting some pressure on the AFL as clubs to obtain some kind of compensation for clear and obvious stuff ups of a certain nature by the AFL.
They can't get points or results overturned so something like footy cap relief or an additional amount in the money handed out by the AFL might work.
Carlton are going to cop a mother of all fines due to their mismanagement I don't see why clubs can't get almost like tax breaks in their football department cap when a significant AFL error is made.
It wouldn't happen that often but there needs to be some form of accountability for those ruining the game.
The lack of repercussions is just eroding relationships between the clubs and the AFL head office.
The reason is simple. We desperately need someone on wing who can take a mark.
Did not work and cost us today but we are at a stage where we do need to try things.
Insanity will be going back to the same well too many times.
The basic question is will it hurt Edwards long term? The set up has worked for the last 2 and a half games, I wouldn’t have changed anything.
Moving him cost us a fair bit of spacing IMO.
A valid gripe I reckon
