Its obamas fault

Mr. Trump paid no federal income taxes in 11 of 18 years that The Times examined. In 2017, after he became president, his tax bill was only $750. Barack Obama and George W. Bush each regularly paid more than $100,000 a year — and sometimes much more — in federal income taxes while in office.
Mr. Trump, by contrast, is running a federal government to which he has contributed almost no income tax revenue in many years.

Many of his base think it is super smart to avoid paying your bills, and honest hard working people are schmucks for paying taxes. It merely reinforces the projection that he is a highly successful businessman and knows how to ‘work the system’.

Some may rail at the notion that when it comes to paying for roads, military, schools, hospitals etc they contribute far more than a billionaire. The inherent sense of fairness and equity may in fact stick, after four years of Access Hollywood tapes etc having no effect on his support - Trump’s utter contempt for basic civic duty, whilst running as the ‘law and order’ President.

This isn't about flipping Trump's base to Biden. Its about keeping independants that are currently favour Biden in the order of 2:1 or 3:2, in the Democrat column (or maybe shifting a few more across). At this point in time, having people not change their minds is a win for Biden.

But the swamp. The swamp

waiting patiently for the first Trumpie to come and denounce this as a 'nothing burger' and just the 'latest DNC/MSM talking point'...
Whilst not saying either way - whether it is defended at all or not, does it really make any difference now?

I can see those rusted on's saying 'this guy is sticking it to the man with savvy business sense'
