Do you think successful professionals stroll in to work at lunch time, don’t actually do any work, just loaf around watching TV and phoning up friends - and hey presto successful outcomes?

I don't think you understood my comment.

When it came to jobs, the American unemployment rate was in the 3s so had Trump just focused on jobs and had he done more on infrastructure and better managed the virus instead of playing the games Mark celebrates then Trump might have been a popular president.

That's what Trump was doing, while McConnell was doing the governing by lowering taxes and passing conservative judges. Most of the so-called achievements of the Trump Presidency (judges, tax cuts) were McConnell. If it weren't for McConnell, Merrick Garland would be on the SC, not Gorsuch. All trump did was nominate whoever McConnell told him would pass.

McConnell never even let Trump have his wall. They have a trillion dollars a year for defence and McConnell let Donnie have a few million for patch jobs on the wall.

Trump was happy enriching his family, building his prestige and McConnell was happy doing the conservative legislating. Since Trump torched his brand at the end, McConnell has been busy trying to distance the GOP from Trump, which is why he's going to let the Dems impeach Trump in the next Senate sessions before he fillibusters and tries to ruin their real legislatve agenda which would actually have any meaning.

Losing Georgia was a kick square in the balls of McConnell who has had the Senate Majority for 6 years in which he ground Obama to a halt and was essentially the head legislator for the Trump Presidency.

He will continue to filibuster the Dems and stop them actually doing anything meaningful for the people of the country.
