Because he has to have committed a crime. Not just been unpopular.

You need to find something else to talk about in your support group.
hahaha. Clinton was impeached because he may have lied to a grand jury.

If they want to look, they will find lots of stuff. And if his approval continues to sink, and their jobs are on the line, they'll start looking.

Right. And that would be a crime. Pardoning someone is not a crime. And the power to pardon is huge. Any Federal offence can be pardoned.
Which is why there are significant linked investigations with the New York DA, and so many money laundering guys on Mueller's team.

They're going for the takedown, and working out the best way to manage that.

This is how the MSM now behaves & operates...
You continue to use MSM as a perjorative without recognising that Fake News has also become one.

ALL MEDIA is slanted. That it took you this long to catch up says more about you than anyone else. I think the post that mentions the dilemma smart people find themselves in by having to stand by a liar while justifying more lies is spot on.

Are we taking bets on who? Has to be Flynn or Manafort. If he was smart it would be both and then tell them only one can cut a deal.

Clock is ticking. Even if Trump pardons one of them he is gone. If he pardons or fires anyone in relation to this probe then he will be impeached.

Then we may have to deal with President Pence ... that will be worse in one way better in another. It will be worse because he's not such an abject failure and will probably get through more of their nasty legislation plans, on the other hand he wont be starting wars purely for his own ego.
If they are charged under state laws, Trump can't pardon. Fingers crossed.

Dana Boente has suddenly resigned.

He's the federal prosecutor for the Eastern District of Virginia. This is where Mueller has spent a lot of time in a grand jury room.
Don't know who this person is but linked to by reporter that I respect.

Has an interesting thread on the resignation.

TL:DR - it doesn't look good for trump

Maybe something Comey said to Boente so stands down and can be called as a witness?

In all, Comey said he had nine one-on-one conversations with the president in four months, and that three of them were in person and six were over the phone.
The new statement from the former FBI director could also cause headaches for top Justice Department officials. Comey reports that he raised concerns with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente about Trump's interventions, but there was no apparent action.

Procrastinator35 also places a great deal of faith in a state funded media organisation, RT.

Don't know that faith is the right word, though it does offer a disparate view to the usual hegemony on offer.

I place far more trust in independent, non-corporate or government affiliated news-sites....Particularly as concerns geo-politics & U.S domestic politics especially...Because they don't have any skin in the argument....Such is the hold & influence corporations now exert over information.

If you think that I somehow enjoy watching what was once the greatest democracy on earth going down the shitter, then you're sadly mistaken.

The Realtor who helped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort buy the Virginia condo that was recently raided by the FBI testified last week before the federal grand jury hearing testimony in Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, POLITICO has learned.

The real estate agent, Wayne Holland of Alexandria, Virginia-based McEnearney Associates, appeared before the Washington-based grand jury after a federal judge rejected the firm’s lawyer’s bid to quash subpoenas for testimony and records about various real estate transactions.

The broker’s appearance before the grand jury is one of few concrete indications of the leads Mueller’s prosecutors are pursuing as they investigate Russian meddling in last year’s presidential election.
