Sadly, this may once have been true but no more. The political commentary and reporting coming from the NYT is now as orchestrated as Married at First Sight. The veracity of the NYT, WaPo and the major TV News networks is stuck somewhere in an Iraqi desert searching for WMDs. Since those days, these organisations have become fabricators and fantasists offering justifications for US war and provided direct and moral support of terrorists and criminals in Syria, Libya, Ukraine and throughout the world. They have justified, encouraged and hidden human rights abuses, torture and war crimes. They have helped orchestrate chemical attacks on civilians. They have aided the bombing of civilian passenger planes and protected the perpetrators. They have made false accusations of foreign countries and vilified their leaders knowing fully that their own government agents were responsible.
They have spread lies and speculations to undermine innumerable governments. They provide cover and assistance in the impoverishment of entire populations across the globe.
Not only have they lost all respect, they are criminal entities who no longer resemble anything but bloody minded spin.
And those who continue to support them against the mountain of overwhelming evidence of their daily and incurable calumny are equally responsible, reprehensible and beyond contempt.

So if the Russians did interfere in the election - for which no evidence has been provided - but if they did, then your telling me Obama is responsible. As it happened on his watch, as he let Putin take Crimea, provide Assad support in Syria. Was in essence Putin's puppet.

When Mr Trump learned the media was asking questions about a June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between senior campaign officials, including Donald Trump Jr, and a Russian lawyer who was said to be promising "dirt" on Hillary Clinton, the president crafted a misleading response, says the report:
"Before the emails became public, the President edited a press statement for Trump Jr by deleting a line that acknowledged that the meeting was with 'an individual who [Trump Jr] was told might have information helpful to the campaign' and instead said only that the meeting was about adoptions of Russian children."

Comey did not end the investigation of Flynn, which ultimately resulted in Flynn's prosecution and conviction for lying to the FBI. McGahn did not tell the Acting Attorney General that the Special Counsel must be removed, but was instead prepared to resign over the President's order. Lewandowski and Dearborn did not deliver the Presiden t 's message to Sessions that he should confine the Russia investigation to future election meddling only. And McGahn refused to recede from his recollections about events surrounding the President's direction to have the Special Counsel removed, despite the President's multiple demands that he do so. Consistent with that pattern, the evidence we obtained would not support potential obstruction charges against the President's aides and associates beyond those already filed."

Reacting to the journalist April Ryan’s call for her to be fired, the White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said, on Friday, that she has been the victim of the media’s “widespread anti-liar bias.”
“From their obsession with fact-checking to their relentless attacks on falsehoods, the media have made no secret of their bias,” Sanders said. “It’s open season on liars in America.”
“This is media hypocrisy at its very worst,” she added. “The same journalists who advocate freedom of speech want to take that freedom away from anyone whose speech consists entirely of lies.”
“This is nothing more or less than a direct attack on the lying life style,” she said. “You take away my right to lie and you take away my ability to earn a living.”
Kellyanne Conway, the White House senior counsellor, spoke out in support of Sanders, telling reporters, “An attack on one liar is an attack on all liars.”
“Our country has seen some dark days, from the Bowling Green Massacre to the bugging of the White House microwave,” she said. “But this might be the darkest.”
