If you don't have central control how will you prevent your decentralized socialism from reverting to a profit based capitalism?

Sure at a fledgling stage this decentralized and localized socialism can work but it is dependent on a rare kind of benevolence without central control.

This breaks down even in theory - it's a utopian fantasy I'm afraid. Pleased to here how you think we could overcome this.

I suggest however that if you trace through our own history - correcting capitalism within acceptable parameters is actually acheivable - simply by limiting excess: monopolies, duopolies, cartels. And on the flip side expand the welfare system back to 1970s models.

It would require an international effort with consistent laws - which is not easy but the advantage is that we know the system actually works and we are not attempting to redefine nature.
