I thought he was ok in the ruck last week. Would be great to have a fwd/ruck (Wright) and a def/ruck (Blackiston)

yeah if goldy needs a rest chuck him in and let vigo continue to develop in the vfl, unless the matchup for vigo is one he could maybe equal

Not getting to attached to him but I do love how quickly he moves the ball on. I hate seeing him do it in defence but I love how he makes his mind up in a micro second. No second guessing. I hope he can refine it rather than turn into one of the drones.

If we have genuinely picked him up with the express intent of playing him as a key defender it is one of the more impressive bits of madcap, left field recruiting I’ve ever seen.

He’s fun and goofy, offers far more utility to the list than Laverde due to his genuine KP size and ability to play multiple roles.

I really like this guy, he clearly cares.
To say he's been dropped in the deep end is the understatement of the year - our backline is the Mariana Trench and they've pushed him overboard with concrete boots on.
Hope he plays the rest of the year, has an AFL standard pre-season and lines up Rd. 1 2026.

I really like him. He's a meat and potatoes player that every team has.

He is coming off a very low base too. Was playing WAFL reserves at the start of the season. He can only get better. Deserves a contract.

Straight. Though it's not really relevant anymore, the only difference is between rookie and senior list is that rookies have up to about 100k of their salary outside the cap, right Lore?

Definitely seems well worth keeping on the list the next couple of years. Depth for both Key Defense and Ruck (I'm really curious to see how he'd go in the ruck at AFL level) seems incredibly useful. Our Key Defenders are all injury prone or coming off major injuries. It'd be a minor miracle if Reid and Ridley played 18+ games each. Our rucks are all injury prone or coming off major injuries (except Goldie) and I guess Vigo who has potential but even with another preseason is probably too young to shoulder a major ruck load.

In my mind Blakiston has moved straight past Laverde already.

Haven’t checked recently, haven’t really studied the new CBA except as relates to concussion protocols

When he has pinch hit in the ruck I thought he was pretty average, but he has been very good down back. Has to be retained and has to get more game time as a ruck at AFL level to see what he has.

We know Vigo is going to get there but just isn’t ready yet, let’s see if LB is.
