Newborn baby, 19 year old mother and 28 year old man burned to death in a deliberately lit fire in Melbourne.

Just so senseless and a pathetic waste of life.

I knew a guy who did something similar when he couldn’t get laid with this chick when he was drunk and she told him to leave.

She was living in a caravan on the front lawn of a place with her friend at the time so this clown went back later that night and set fire to the caravan & it burned down.

Next day we were all hanging out at this local rec centre and this gang of fuming blokes pulled up looking to break his arms, legs, neck and everything else. They were going apeshit trying to get him but he managed to escape through a back door.

Now he never intended to murder those girls or totally destroy the caravan, he was just drunk trying to piss them off and he made a incredibly stupid decision.

Luckily the 2 shelias had gone into the house to sleep that night & weren’t in the van at all but it was pretty scary seeing these guys gunning for him & hearing the story how the van had burned to the ground knowing that 2 people had been using it to sleep in.

I wonder if this suspect was in a similar frame of mind and didn’t actually think of the complete ramifications for her actions?

Going from trying to cause them some discomfort and irritation for some stupid practical joke to 3 charges of murder.

Or maybe she did intend to kill them all along.

Yep and at 46 years old you definitely have enough life experience to such things.

Doubt she will get any sympathy.

Interesting they got her so quickly. Some suggestion of pain medication so maybe she had burns, but otherwise might well be there have been threats, intervention orders etc. Reports she argued with the dude a few hours earlier.

just read they had only moved in a month or so ago which makes the tenants refusing to pay rent during the eviction moratorium crazy landlord at wits end theory much less likely.

Unfortunately the building regulations state that you HAVE to have these sort of windows in anything above the ground floor and they are only able to be opened a certain distance to prevent falls. Unfortunately the regulations have made the windows a death trap in this case.

I'd have assumed it was only ground floor buildings that might apply to, for security reasons. A couple of friends have them in bedrooms, which lets light in without the necessity of curtains and shutters. I hate them tbh, I see them everywhere.

Not sure I understand it either given many have balconies first floor up.

Victoria Police today issued a new statement, clarifying the family did not know 46-year-old accused Jenny Hayes from Airport West. Back in court in March.

She's on heavy painkillers apparently, not sure why.

Its been reported she was an escort and it was over a dispute about money with a person sleeping on a downstairs mattress, she went to house and burned the matress and apparently didn't know 3 people were upstairs, usual b/s coming out she is a good person etc...
Police originally said an excellerent was used, not sure how she wouldnt know people are upstairs if the bloke who hired her was sleeping on a mattress downstairs? has to be life no question.
