You just know he's a Russian asset when the Kremlin says this:
May well be, but I wouldn't be surprised if Putin uses the US's discomfort to troll it and/or Trump. I mean, how often does a spy agency confirm or name to the world that they flipped the another country's leader? You'd think they just continue pulling the strings in their favor.

Also once you're in deep enough, and you've compromised your relationships with anyone who isn't part of the cult, even once you 'know' you're wrong, you have to stick with it or lose what little social connection you have left.

There was a good documentary on flat earthers a few years ago, where a few of them basically admitted they didn't believe in it any more but they'd gone so hard for so long that they had no family or friends left outside of the flat earth community. So they just maintained a facade of belief to have the community.

I suspect there's a few pro-Trump posters on here who know deep down they've been had, but feel like they've picked a team and have to stick with it rather than admit it.

Then there's some who are the true believers, some of whom are just genuinely hateful people happy to see those they dislike suffer.

Effin cowards. Eff up the country by approving Trump policies, and MAGA policies, they split when it gets difficult.

Sometimes I fantasize about a Dem, standing on the Capitol's steps in front of the cameras, reading off each R name...Tom Cotton from Missouri voted to end your health care, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina voted to confirm RFK Jr, and so on. Each and every one. Put those effin names right out there for the blame and shame.

The Center for American Progress has a real time grift tracker for how much bank he's making in real time

Trump’s Take

$1,807,296,055
Cash and gifts received by Trump over the past 398 days.

Let's unpack.

background-top.webp

Cashing in on the presidency

“Trump’s Take” is a real-time financial tracker documenting the cash and gifts that President Donald Trump and his family have received by selling the presidency. For our purposes, the family includes President Trump, Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump, hereafter referred to collectively as the “Trump family,” but excludes Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
Trump has made most of the cash by launching his own crypto ventures—reversing his outspoken, skeptical stance on crypto—while aggressively deregulating the industry. Trump takes a cut in cash from the trades and sales of the family’s coins and tokens along with stablecoin interest. The “take” is the cash he has received calculated in real time, based on actual trading activity and stablecoin interest. It can only go up. We have also added the value of the gifts, legal settlements, and the income from Melania Trump’s documentary paid directly to Trump or to his presidential library.
Due to the complex nature of these earnings, which are channeled through multiple financial vehicles, our calculations are constantly being updated and refined. A comprehensive methodology detailing the determination of the Trump family’s crypto income is available here.
We have excluded income from assets Trump had before his November 2024 election victory—including real estate, hotels, licensing deals, and more—even though their value has inarguably increased as a result of his election. We made one notable exception by including income from his first crypto venture, World Liberty Financial Inc. (WLFI). WLFI launched in September 2024, and nearly all of the income from this venture was made after his election in November of the same year.

$7.5B

Trump’s net worth increase

Trump’s crypto ventures have added at least $7.5 billion of “paper worth” to his overall net worth since early 2024, with most of that gain occurring after his election. This represents the estimated value of the family’s flagship crypto venture holdings and Trump Media, Truth Social’s parent company, which holds billions of dollars in Bitcoin. As of publication, this growth in net worth remains unrealized, and therefore is not yet reflected in the total take. However, it has the potential to generate billions of dollars in additional cash for the Trump family when sold, at which point we will reflect it in the total.

So what?

Who buys this stuff? These crypto schemes open up many opportunities for corruption. Honest Americans can easily wonder: If a foreign company wanted a lawsuit dropped or a foreign country wanted tariff relief, would they simply need to buy enough meme coins? If a criminal were looking for a pardon, would they just need to purchase secret digital tokens? A September report from Accountable.US showed tokens from one of the Trump family’s crypto ventures were “sold to a variety of highly suspicious entities that appear to have connections to North Korea, Iran and Russia, as well as known money-laundering platform Tornado Cash.” The possibilities, and the consequences for the American people, are endless. There is plenty we still don’t know, but what we know now is already concerning.

How much more has he made?

Donald Trump’s businesses have also profited off of hosting political and official events at Trump-owned properties, licensing deals in foreign countries, and NFTs. More details will be added to this tracker in the coming months if more details from disclosure reports become available.

Is this legal?

Presidents are subject to ethics laws, primarily those governing the disclosure of income and assets. The use of complex LLCs and trusts, such as those outlined in Trump’s own financial disclosures, can obscure the full picture of how Trump has profited from his office. Recent decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court have limited the public’s ability to fight violations of the public trust. Ultimately, Trump’s actions raise significant concerns about conflicts of interest and evidence of a system that fails to protect the American people from runaway corruption. The solution to this problem is to pass new laws to stop any president from having the ability to use their office for personal gain and for prosecutors to have independent jurisdiction to take on government corruption.

I just wonder who exactly oversaw the set up of that crypto. I mean, if the Trumps are up to their usual competence, there could be some backdoors or whatever is involved to skim or outright rifle those accounts.

They resign before midterms . They feel they will get smashed and not be re-elected in mid terms

There are a number like mitch and don bacon who have said the are not standing for reelection
Similar happened in the mid terms in 2018. There were 48 Republicans who either retired or resigned before the midterms. They went from a 47 seat lead to a 36 seat deficit after losing the popular vote by a record margin for a minority party (an actual record of Trumps you don't hear him spruik).

This was also after gerrymandering cost the Dems 16 seats (sound familiar with current Texas situation).

So far already 30 Republicans have said they won't seek election. Add on another 20 and you have 2018 again, only worse because they only hold a slim majority and Trump is hated even more than he was in his first term.

How has it changed it?
"it", referring to the pardon issued to Juan Orlando Hernández, the former president of Honduras, the key figure in a drug trafficking scheme that flooded America with over 400 tonnes of cocaine, and "it", referring to the war on drugs?

I think you're being purposefully and wilfully ignorant if you truly believe such a pardon has no impact on future efforts to combat drug importation into the US.

Prosecution of known drug traffickers such as Hernandez has a two-fold purpose.

Firstly, to eliminate their role in the network, and possibly the network itself. "Taking them off the streets", if you will. Hernandez also had strong links to El Chapo, including the receiving of a $1B bribe for his first presidential campaign in exchange for protecting narcotics routes through Honduras.

Secondly, to serve as a deterrent to drug traffickers, prospective or otherwise, that you will caught, prosecuted and imprisoned.

By pardoning Hernandez, based purely on the fact that he ran under the same National Party ticket as Tito Asfura, Trump's endorsed candidate in the Honduran election, Trump essentially emboldens other large scale drug traffickers, informing them that if they meet his own ideological/political criteria, they too can avoid prosecution.

"The assignment, according to the nonprofit’s Thanksgiving social media post, was to write a 650-word essay reacting to a psychology article about the effect of gender norms on middle school students and their impact on mental health."

"In her essay, Fulnecky repeatedly cited the Bible and emphasized her right to free speech, stating she believes “eliminating gender in our society would be detrimental, as it pulls us farther from God's original plan for humans.”

“Society pushing the lie that there are multiple genders and everyone should be whatever they want to be is demonic and severely harms American youth.”

So this Karen is studying psychology and decides to not answer the essay question accordingly to the norms of psychology she is being taught, but instead rave about free speech, the bible and demonic influence. But cries religious discrimination when she rightly gets zero.

What's next some Ken declaring that they are allowed to answer that the earth is 10,000 years old in a paleontology class and demand they pass when they do so.

Bye bye USA as a science hub, welcome to the MAGA dark ages.

I think Mel Curth, from the University of Oklahoma, can sue Turning Point for defamation after this diatribe:

"In a social media post, Turning Point USA’s OU chapter voiced support for Fulnecky and denounced Curth: “We should not be letting mentally ill professors around students.”

Or at the very least, an apology.

Hence why it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. Have you examined all the claims forensically and tried to prove any of them wrong?
Well the challenge is ours. Prove them wrong

Good arguments. They will have to think about this before responding (privately).

There’s something ironic about Turning Point taking up the cause and her surname being Fulnecky.

So you agree its Trumps economy

"Hysteria" apparently that "people see through" 🤡

Trump is basically doing his best Biden impression - trying to talk people into the economy being good while those same people know what prices they're paying for their weekly expenses and how much its impacting them. Doesn't work, obviously.

I hope Monkeys sticks around till next year's mid terms, have a feeling he might find it instructive lol
