I get the talk around why we gave him another year. Unless a few get injured, he is unlikely to be playing AFL and he has his limitations. What I have noticed is that his leadership and interaction with the young blokes at training is pretty good. I know some will just brush this aside but right now we are building our football program as far as professionalism goes and sometimes it is handy to have a few of these guys drift through the system while we build even if they are only reall short term back up players.

He's certainly got a place on the list as long as Scott continues to hate Peter Wright in what I can only assume is some form of anti readhead political stance.

Worst case scenario for him and us is he dominates the VFL and straightens them up and gives them a target. Offers predictability for El Achkar to crumb to a repeatable and predictable spot.

It is kind of Crazy Suns couldn't find a spot for him at the time. But I guess they got Chol to replace him.

Suns had King and Day ahead of him at the time from memory, it was probably marginal between Day and Wright but always got the sense Day was just better liked by the coach.

He has played as a defender, a quick google says it was when he was at Collingwood.

If we need him to ruck as a full timer He is handy pushing into defence as extra man and forward as matchup against a ruckman not defender. Don't think I want him actually defending anyone, other than opposition ruck.

In a pinch he'd probably be that loose third tall defender, Ridley isn't amazing defensively if he's caught man-on-man either.

Accuracy for a team during a game can spread. Miss shots early and it can carry on thruout the game. If you have Liam kicking accurately early you may find the team gets confidence.

Wrights played 3 games of VFL under Scott, on the back of an 8 week stretch where he kicked 7 goals.

In what world does playing every available game in the AFL except 3, over a 3 year stretch = coach hates him?
