Except his sisters bawling their eyes out, I'm going to ask my younger son if his sisters go to the same school too.

They need an attitude adjustment
They're tears of joy coach. They just realised that they will have first dibs on the Richmond draftees when they get old enough.

Seth will be the best player from this draft.
Wow, huge call, even we took him as a second pick. But then you said AFLW team was not going to lose another in the season proper, who am I to argue with Nostra2010.....? 🤣

So Seth was 3 days away from
Being a next year draft pick. Who knows what might have happened next year, but already like what I see

Always the youngest can affect some more than others. For this reason alone it is worth having modest expectations in the first few seasons.

From memory Bolton was similar in that regard
One of, if not the youngest drafted in his crop hence why it took a little longer before he established himself in the 22

Absolutely. Be happy with a few good VFL outings next year. But just saying, who knows where he might have ended up next year. Could have taken off and become a top 20 pick

The Freighter, Fraser Turner, was also very young in his year and sadly never kicked on.

Kid has X-Factor and just has that look of confidence about him , Was raised in a great family but led astray and supported the Aints when the entire family are tiger supporters.

Its almost impossible to kick 10 goals in any level of football let alone have 16 shots at goal and have 32 touches but to do it at state level for a young kid is just freaky
"A goal kicking masterclass from one of Tasmania's most promising young footballers has caught the eyes of AFL scouts."
"North Launceston's Seth Campbell, pictured playing for Tasmania Devils, kicked 10 in just his third Tasmanian State League game."

The best individual game by a draft age player I have seen in the TSL. I watched Tarryn Thomas, Kade Kolodjashnij, Alex Pearce, and a bunch of other players at TSL level and never saw anything like that game!

I watched Fraser Turner a lot in his draft year and thought he deserved his chance as a late pick or rookie, but I rate Seth much higher than Turner. Doesn't mean he will make it, most late picks and rookies don't... but Seth is way ahead of where Turner was.

Upgrade to Baker???

As a top aged draftee - highly likely. The evidence is massive.

Yeah, never under estimate that skill between the ears.

I'm no case study in sporting elite that's for sure 🤣 , but as a new Years Eve baby I get it. Add on top of that still another year younger because I started school in Fiji and was tall. I entered Grade 1 in Victoria having just turned 5 when some kids were about to turn 7 in a month or two. It did place a pall over the self-confidence for all the school years. It manifests in so many ways, especially socially. Not everyone, but certainly the majority.

School and U18 sport are essentially the only times in our life we are corralled by age, and yet abilities are wildly different. I describe it as a lazy segregation, when it must be better surely to have a standard's based segregation. Anyway......I think Shai and players like him are wonderful to eventually be the best sportsperson they can be. More power to them and if Seth makes it, I'll be shouting the same about him that's for sure.
